Who has the sandwich concession?
Limbaugh is pissing me off with all his negativity lately. The first day of the convention and nothing positive from Rush. He could care less if Romney wins and he cost the GOP the election with his Sandra Fluke comment. That is precisely when the momentum shifted back toward Obama. He cost us the WH in 2008 with his personal dislike of Mccain and he’s done it again this election. Hannity is just as bad right now as I listen to him. What has happened to the once proud Republican Party?
So today will be: pander, pander, pander through in a few good remarks about the American way and excellence, then pander some more, a few lines about compromise because we know the democrats want things to improve, some more pandering then a hearty wave with God Bless America.
All the while Romney and his lieutenants are figuring out how to get rid of conservatism.
Thanks for starting the thread!! Tim Scott did an excellent job singing to Obama...’Hit The Road Jack and Don’T Cha COME BACK...LOL. It was pretty good. Going to send him a little donation.
Oh good grief....give us a break! That is ridiculous.
Rush was REPORTING.
The negativism is from TEAM ROMNEY against
conservatives, as usual.
TEAM ROMNEY will defend Obama (nice man), but let
a conservative be seen, or one DARING to discuss
a conservative principle, and TEAM ROMNEY unsheathes
One more thing.
Rush did not cost the GOP the White House.
THAT was caused by Mitt Romney having his team
attack Gov. Palin on the eve of the Election.
Do not try to revise the truth, because we ALL
watched the attacks on her and her children.
What has happened is that the GOPe have forced their socialist on the party and the base is tired of having moderates shoved down their throats.
Don’t listen to him then, I personally thought today’s show was great.
Oh, yea who are these “us” you are talking about?
The proud Republican Party died when it embraced liberalism, you didn’t notice that?
The “us” is the Republican Party that I go back to all the way to the Eisenhower adminitration. I don’t like seeing the party being dominated by high stakes players in the ratings business.
Load the mud cannons.. Let ‘em rip!!
Isaac’ll give ‘em all a good rinse..
Let ‘the process’ play out and we’ll see who grabs the reins and who gets booted (place yur bets) soon enough.. The music is a little flat... or maybe it’s just me..
I don’t agree with anything you said. I listened to Rush today. He was right on target. McCain lost in 2008 because he was such an AWFUL candidate, even Palin couldn’t drag him over the finish line. That, and Obama’s corrupt media accomplices, so don’t even try to blame it on Rush. He is also right about the rules power grab. We went into the convention with a unified party, and the GOP establishment decided to make a power play. Is Rush supposed to not mention it? I actually thought he tried to down play it more than he should have.
Can I assume these are Eastern time? Thanks.
Wonderful job, dearest KansasGirl!
Thanks very much for the live thread.
LOL, Michelle Bachmann trying to get Neal Cavuto to dance. I think he blushed.
Uh,yeah right. Rush gets behind every nominee, whether he was for them or not. He had zero impact on this election with the Fluke comment. In fact, the whole war on women was essentially dropped three months ago because it has no impact at all on polling. It was a manufactured issue. Now, it has reared it’s head again because of the doofus in missouri.
I’m watching the convention on C-SPAN right now and it’s getting UGLY on the floor.
If you don’t want the truth, don’t listen to Rush!
For the better part, we’re TEA Party conservatives here.
Dust up on convention floor over the rules. Texas delegation in revolt. Shouting USA...uSA...when Priebus tried to. Shove the rules down the throats of delegation. Wow..I am proud of my state.
So are we headed to a floor fight or not?? Or did the crap just pass?
I am so Pissed!!
The rest of the crowd shouted them down with "USA! USA!"
Is that right? LOL.
Wish I seen THAT!
They just now called for the rules and the noes clearly had it. Bonehead called it for the ayes. Rammed it through.
Now silence from the floor. WTH?
I think we are coming undone as a party. We must beat obama. Romney is off to a very bad start. I’m not a Paulinian but he represents over 10% of this party— That the 10% we must have to win. The report on Dennis Miller radio today was that the delegations from Kansas , Maine , Iowa and Louisiana have been shoved in the back of the hall so they cannot be heard and they are furious. The idiot romney is insulting entire state legally constituted delegations. That is NOT good sport fans.We need a BIG tent or we are history.
I’m watching C-SPAN.
Governor Bob McDonnell (VA) speaking now.
Boehner declared them passed, on a voice vote that seemed to me to be far from unanimous. Lots of booing. I think Boehner and the RINOs have just told us to shut the hell up. I hope I am wrong, but think not.
I’m listening on c-span radio and am wondering what the heck is going on ....so did they just runover the conservatives???
It looked to me, from reading their lips, like they were shouting "Seat them now."
Janine Turner? Good Lord. Why are we having her on. She is a total has been. Hollyweird has no part of this. Romney is pushing this liberal Hollyweird thing and I wonder why.
Preibus was looking sicker than usual. He knows the GOP is in trouble.
It sure looks that way to me. I’m disgusted.
You are not wrong. Romney got us banished with a wet knife.
We are standing around there wondering what just happened.
Can’t believe what we just witnessed. Just shaking my head in disbelief. Damn the rinos and GOPe.
I feel like turning the whole thing off now. Screw em all!!
May God guide our course.
Michelle Bachmann trying to get Neal Cavuto to dance.
I love Michele Bachmann but Neal Cavuto has MS so how can she do this?
Those yahoos were my fellow Texans lady and they were not shouting down the woman from puerto Rico. Get your facts straight. They were pissed about the rule changes.
A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.
I have been in and out all day and I am not sure what is going on either, other than some rule changes that will benefit the GOP establishment. Should anyone be so kind as to provide me with an executive summary of what is happening, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
I’m with you, Pen.
Rove, and the GOP-E can all GTH. Romney has always been a RINO.
Paul Ryan is the only one who’s giving me HOPE.
Yes, and that has SO much to do with today's events doesn't it?
I’m at the convention. As a guest from a blue state, I’m in the nose bleed seats.
It was “seat them now” (Maine delegation, who were apparently not seated but replaced by Romney chosen delegates)...
That’s what I was afraid of. GOP-e is determined to f@#& it up.
Get rid of Romney NOW!!! Let’s dump his butt. We can vote in Bachmann Santorum or Akin for all I care but get rid of the Twin of Obama.
I haven’t been able to pick my jaw up off the floor yet. The look in Bonehead’s eyes was just evil. I dodn’t think I copuld dislike him any less than I already do, but he just proved me wrong.
I’m almost sick at my stomach.
Where is the walkout, now that we have been booted whether we are there or timbuktu?
Actually, yes it does.
Mr. RomneyCARE can NEVER be trusted.
(He proved it again).
Herman Cain was asked by Cavuto about the Ron Paul people being unhappy, and said: “They’re never happy.” LOL.
