David Brooks of the New York Times has written an alternative biography of Mitt Romney that makes for witty reading (He was sent to a private school, where he was saddened to find there are people in America who summer where they winter.) But in the course of doing some internet research about this Romney fella, I found out hes running against someone called Barack Obama. Obamas biography makes for fascinating reading, too.
Barack Obama was born in 1961, the location marked by the appearance of a new star in the East. His mother lived on food stamps and his grandmother owned Hawaii. Between them, their son averaged out as middle-class.

.....His horizons broadened, this born-again guru decided that it was time to walk away from the self-serving vanities of the legal profession and go into politics. He put on a blindfold, stuck a pin a map and found that God ("noun. 'synonym for Obama'") wanted him to start in Chicago.
........Promoted by his friends Jimmy the fist Vincente and Sam youll vote the way Jimmy tells you to Giovanni, he rose quickly in the ranks to become a state senator, where his courageous stand on abortion makes him one of the few prochoice Democrats prepared to say on record that choice doesnt have to end after birth.........Obamas ability to make even the most complicated issues sound all about him impressed voters first at the 2004 Democratic National Convention (As I stand here today, I cant help but think about myself) and then during the 2008 presidential primaries (Imagine how great it would be if I won this election). His inauguration was declared a new beginning and a national holiday in Venezuela...

No doubt Hitler, Mao, Stalin, and Mussolini were the bee’s knees in their day too.
Sorry, Brooks but you cannot match Dinesh.
Absolutely a pathetic attempt to sanitize the Commie In Chief.
Zer0 worships at the alter of Rev. Wright, Frank Marshall Davis , Bill Ayers, his grandfather, white trash mother and bust-out commie father.
Yep, quite a resume’.
I don’t understand why so-called conservative commentators solicit his opinions.
That's up from the 1,091 theaters it played in over the weekend, when it took in $6.2 million between Friday and Sunday for a per-screen average of $5,940 - the best of any film in wide release. It added another $1.2 million at the box office Monday.
Produced for roughly $2.1 million, the film - with its catchphrase, "Love Him. Hate Him. You Don't Know Him" - has made $10.3 million since its release seven weeks ago and has surpassed "Bully" as the year's top-earning documentary.
The expansion will surely benefit from the buzz surrounding the ongoing Republican National Convention. Part of it will target the Heartland, a primary focus of the long-term rollout strategy according to MJM Entertainment's Mark Joseph, who is handling the film's marketing with co-director John Sullivan.
Theaters also will be added in New York, Portland, Los Angeles, Boston, Austin, Tex., and San Francisco. Joseph was still analyzing Monday's box-office numbers and said the expansion count remained fluid.".......
“We are not amused” - Queen Victoria

My neighbor saw that last weekend and was just raving about it.
While he’s reasonably politically aware, and very anti-Obama, it surprised me that he had gone to see it. Good news. People are really paying attention this time around.
Most of it is actually pretty funny
I saw the Obama documentary last weekend. It’s good. Even though it was rated (boxoffice) with other films being shown in over 3000 (3-1) theaters, it came in 4th.
If saying “I” every tenth word is humility, then obama is a very humble man.
If playing continual golf while the economy is dying is cool, then obama is really cool.
If high achievement is spending money at a record pace, then obama is a very high achiever.
.....And so “yesterday” Mr. Brooks.
The truth of the matter is that like Raymond Shaw in “The Manchurian Candidate”, the proclaimed virtues never were in evidence. In spite of repeated assertions that, yes, “Raymond Shaw is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I’ve ever known ...”, he possessed, in fact, few of the qualities attributed to him, or at best, in only a very small degree.
The Current Occupant fails totally at being humble, has no achievements he can point to and say, “I did that better than anybody else could or would have”, and “coolness” is a quality that dissolves in flop sweat.
And in his heart, the Current Occupant knows this to be true. The act can continue only so long, then he becomes Jimmy Carter redux, criticizing that which he no longer has access to.
There was an old tale, long attributed to Abraham Lincoln, in which a supposedly much wiser person was asked, “If a dog’s tail were called a leg, how many legs would a dog have?”
The answer, of course, was, “Four.”
Explanation? “Just because you call a dog’s tail a leg, doesn’t make it a leg.”
Is AAWSRP (Angry A$$holes Who Sc**w Retired People)running any ads on how cost of living increases have disappeared with 0bambi for the first time since SS started? And how they are on board with DeathCare and the death panels.
I suppose David wrote his praise on some lavatory’s wall, with his phone number, before it was published in the New York Times.
What and/or who is he talking about?!? The only obama I can think of is none of those. Whatever Brooks is drinking, that ain't coffee.
And I saw a cartoon the other day that showed George Soros standing in the Veranda of the Democratic Party Plantation saying to fetch his house nigga as Obama came running to do his massa’s bidding.
Obama is to our enemy what Margaret Sanger was for Hitler.A means to an end. They envision the final destruction of their Hated America But the enemy has underestimated Christ since He was prophesied of in the Garden. And the enemy of America today miscalculates the vitality f the American Christian.
Sounds like the author’s got something in their vein, too...
Show us his high achieving grades
There comes a time in life when most see the frivolity and immaturity in valuing “cool” over wisdom. It’s Rush’s favorite line, “Symbolism over substance”.
Doing the chicken strut when you walk with your underwear showing, is not “cool”...it’s more like “monkey see - monkey do”. There’s no more originality in that than wearing your cap backwards or sporting a “hoodie” in the middle if July.
But, liberalism is built around groupthink and faddism, any original thought is quelled by peer pressure and emotionalism.
Most of the guys I know in high school, who were considered “cool” at the time, are either in jail, hooked on drugs, or collecting food stamps.
The “dorks”, or “squares” of the day are now doctors, lawyers, engineers, or running corporations. The “cool” ones - who are not on probation - are working for the nerds.
The real meaning of “cool” turns out to be the ones who have succeeded in life, who don’t depend on the government or anyone to feed their families and raise their kids. The real “cool” ones have worked hard and made their own way in life. They don’t need brand-name clothing or $300 sneakers to make them “hip”.
Unless you’re in high school, or at a party, “cool” means very little to the rest of the world. I mean, how many ways can one break-dance anyway?
Obama is the prime example of all this, very “cool” in public, but inept, and a total failure.

Cincinatus’ Wife,
I can’t really say what I think of this marxist punk or some gubmint goons would visit me.
Course they can kill bush in movies without problems but I can’t even say what I’d like to see happen to him.
David Brooks needs some serious dental work.
And while he is at it, some psychiatric help!
There is that, but mainly people on this board don't read the articles, just the headlines.

We must eradicate this dangerous fraud from the WH.
These days, it's hard to tell satire from the propaganda the American media presents as news.
I read as much as was posted above, but didn't find it interesting enough or all that different than what AP would write to go to the blog to take in all the humor.
The msm here is more than humorous enough, so much so that satire is unnecessary and almost unrecognizable by comparison.
Now I don't know if you're in earnest or kidding. Follow the link in the Telegraph article to the bona fide Brooks column in the Times. Stanley wrote his own column about Obama in the spirit of Brooks's column about Romney.
Most of it is actually pretty funny
Which one? Brooks's column seems like one bad joke repeated over and over again, and it's not exactly fair to Romney. I don't know if Stanley's column is funny in itself, but reading it after Brooks's it just seems like more of the same thing.
Brooks fell in love with Obama because he knew who Reinhold Niebuhr was and could talk about that 20th century theologian. I'm thinking, if you went to Harvard and taught in a major law school, you should probably know something about Niebuhr and be able to talk about him for a minute. If you didn't and couldn't you should ask for all your tuition money back. It's part of the bare minimum of knowledge you should have with theat background.
There is no real Obama. There is no substance what so ever. There is no there there. Obama is but synthesized nothingness.
