TAMPA, Florida | August 29, 2012: To Republicans in the RNC convention hall last night, and surely to the majority of Americans watching at home, regardless of their politics, Ann Romney came across as a warm, kind and caring woman.
But the editors of the New York Times occupy a very different universe. In a nasty piece of work this morning, editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal painted an ugly picture of Ann Romney. Using the most violent of metaphors, Rosenthal saw a woman who, of all things, had "slipped a knife into President Obama." More after the jump.

Despicable: NY Times editor claims Ann Romney “slipped a knife” into Obama. Outraged barf alert to Today show list.
???? wasnt that her job?? And to do it politely?
Silly comments by NYT lib.
More “civility” from the left.
Sounds like the NYT is trying to encourage violence against Republicans in general and the Romney’s specifically.
“Here’s how you get him. He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That’s the Chicago way!”

Hey, I’m not outraged; I hope it turns out to be true. If she *did* slip him a knife, it was a very sweet and subtle knife, but I hope it pierced an artery and bleeds ol’ blue-lips white come November. Politically speaking, of course.
So what was Ann’s comment?
These people live in a very dark place! The pain must be horrible.
But, did she twist it on the way out?
Just imagine how ugly this meltdown is gonna be in 3 or 4 weeks.
I saw that same happy look.
I heard her speech on NPR this morning. I think she slipped the knife into Obama’s *campaign*.
She did a nice job
It’s a dog-whistle.
What an unfortunately unattractive “man,” made even more so by the obvious level of vitriol and hubris that is deforming his face.
Democrats Dont Remove Ad Making Fun of MS Patient Ann Romney
by Steven Ertelt | LifeNews.com | 7/24/12 6:19 PM
Last week, LifeNews reported on a Democratic Party ad that essentially made fun of a patient with multiple sclerosis, the wife of presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
The Democratic National Committee unveiled a video featuring footage of Ann Romneys dancing show horse as a way of mocking Mitt Romney for dancing around the issue of his taxes and whether he would make public additional tax returns that the IRS has certified are legitimate. The video was meant to be the first in a series of videos on the topic and the first featured the horse, owned jointly by Ann and Mitt Romney.
However, Ann Romney owns the horse in part because she relies on the animal, and other show horses she trains,
This guy is rated 4F: Fat, feminine, four-eyed faggot.
What a queer thing to say.
Slipping the knife in does not kill. It is the twisting that kills.
Now that the knife is in, others will twist and twist and twist.
Figuratively she did just that. She single-handedly dismantled the last 6 months of the Obama campaign. It was beautiful to watch.
“Ugly’s to the bone”...
For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
SOMEONE had to do it.
And in fact, isn’t that what she was there for?
Ronsenthal is whining about Ann Romney ‘slipping the knife’ into 0bama, meanwhile he’s probably already had several sausages ‘slipped’ to him this morning in whatever bath house he frequents in the rotten Big Apple.
The dressage horse which competed in the Olympics, according to the Olympics announcer, was jointly owned by three persons and Mitt was not named, only Anne plus two..
Soros funded / Democrat aligned MoveOn.org again mocks Ann Romneys multiple sclerosis using dressage horse Rafalca
george-soros Democrats once again, via their George Soros funded propaganda outfit Moveon.org are mocking Ann Romneys multiple sclerosis using dressage horse Rafalca.
Rosenthal saw a woman who, of all things, had "slipped a knife into President Obama."
Let's call a Waaaaaaaaammmmmmmbuuuuuullllllaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnncccccccccceeeee Andrew.
Hysterical. If the shoe was on the other foot and this was Moochelle "slipping a knife into Mitt", gayboy andrew would be cheering her on from his column. Slimy hypocritical DNC tool.
I think this may be part of what the idiot is talking about:
But let me say this to every American who is thinking about who should be our next president:
No one will work harder. No one will care more. No one will move heaven and earth like Mitt Romney to make this country a better place to live!
Its true that Mitt has been successful at each new challenge he has taken on. It amazes me to see his history of success actually being attacked. Are those really the values that made our country great? As a mom of five boys, do we want to raise our children to be afraid of success?
Do we send our children out in the world with the advice, Try to do... okay?
And lets be honest. If the last four years had been more successful, do we really think there would be this attack on Mitt Romneys success?
Of course not.
Smiling warmly is racist.
Elitist obese Euro-loving, anti-American Jew who supports Stalin communism. Filthy-rich arrogant Obama-fellating New York swine.
Ann hit a home run right there.
footage of Ann Romneys dancing show horse as a way of mocking Mitt Romney for dancing around the issue of his taxes and whether he would make public additional tax returns that the IRS has certified are legitimate.
How anyone could equate Romney dancing like a dumb horse with Ann having MS is a stretch...
He sounds and looks like someone slipped a knife in his butt.
In NYT-speak, is “ - - - the knife - - - “ code for “the reality of Truth?”
For 0bama the truth is a knife.
I should have known. Stereotypical lib.
A face you could just slapped the bleep out of.
I posted this on another thread, but here’s how I think Ann Romney “slipped the knife” to the Obama campaign. I take comfort in the fact that the NYT felt the need to disparage this speech......
As someone who was for Sarah Palin, then Herman Cain, then Newt Gingrich, and I even liked Rick Santorum over Romney, Im beginning to think we may have gotten lucky to end up with Romney-Ryan.
Getting Obama out has trumped all other considerations for me.
I think the Ann Romney speech may be a game-breaker. First of all, she managed to put me more at ease with Mitt Romney, no small task.
When she walked out on stage, I said to myself Wow, she is so beautiful. I felt it was critical that her speech would provide a great contrast to Michelle Obama. I think she accomplished much, much more than that.
Ann Romneys words, actions, and tone on that stage provided a stark contrast with all liberal women, without a disparaging word. Ann Romney was at once a throwback to a time that many women now are longing for, and a call to what the future could be for all women.
At first, I saw some giddiness, and some girlish laughter that I wasnt sure I liked. Then, as the speech went on, I realized her femininity was becoming, refreshing, apropriate, and exciting to see on that stage.
Contrast the vibe you got from Ann Romney with the angry, women-as-victims tone from the women of the left. If you haven’t seen this speech, please try to watch it and while watching it, think of the chasm between Ann Romney and Hillary Clinton.
If you’ve seen the speech, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
If this speech was designed to get women out there to re-think their support for the Democratic Party as surrogate husband, then I think she may have gotten some converts. Therein lies the power in Ann Romneys speech.
Therein lies the reason the NYT thought this speech something to fear.
“Rosenthal has to be related to Giorgio:”
I was thinking more along the lines of Hilton Perez...
Let me see..canape knives are cute, fruit knives look charming, and butter knives are just down right adorable. But all the above could be deadly...I'm just saying. This writer is a racist inciting idiot. Oh, I forgot there is a double standard with the libs. Over the next few weeks its going to be fun watching their heads explode...politically of course. :-)
The NYT’s problem with Ann was that she was 1) likeable, 2) actually in love with her hubby, and 3) much, much more believable than Mooch-elle, the (anti) food lady.
What a funny charge coming from the Diva editor of the Times who owes his job to nepotism as his father served the same position at the same newspaper.
Will Andrew snidely point out the obvious when it's the wife of the man he's voting for? Don't count on it.
His surprise that a speech at a political convention might be political? What's next? With a roll of the eyes a comment that there was a meeting in a school that dealt with education? Or newsroom that dealt with news?
Yeah, I'm waiting to see Andrew's crisp clean unbiased comments about Mrs. Obama's speech. HA. For Mrs. Obama we can expect blinders, delusions and fawning - the Times in full suck-up mode. None of the pointing out that her speech might have political elements in it... Nope. No way will that be pointed out...
But we'll have to wait and see. Andrew might try to be fair now that he knows we're on to him. Guess the Times will have to assign a different writer to Mrs. Obama so their biases and double standards aren't so obvious.. and easy to compare.
I honestly don’t even remember her mentioning 0bama by name.
