Going the third party route is admittedly precarious ... unless living in a key battleground state, it’s unlikely your vote matters much. Likewise, for the many voters (that) might stay home, pulling the lever for Goode seems sound.

Virgil Goode's take on immigration is that illegal immigration should be stopped at the border and that there should be no place in the US for anyone here illegally.
In fact, he believes that even legal immigration should be tied to the US jobless rate. Why bring in more to take American jobs when we are in difficult times, or why bring in those who will not find jobs and end up costing taxpayers?
I think it makes sense. Whether you like the messenger or not, it makes sense.

We all know that that will be Romney's position when the dust settles.

Goode is another in a long line of completely irrelevant 3rd party candidates. Virgil makes some great points, and so does my neighbor and the girl from the local dog-walking service - none have the slightest chance at all of every being President.

The Republican Party started out as a third party you know? Think about it...how long do we let the GOPe tell us how to vote? Just another Akin. Goode can say the right things, but he will marginalize his views through his actions. By running in states like VA, he makes an Obama victory more likely and of course, Obama is diametrically opposed to liberty. By making it harder for Romney to win, the less consideration will be given to people like Goode that opposed the GOP.
But, I guess the point is for Goode to destroy the conservative movement by dividing it.
Fine. You go vote for bigger government and less freedom. Just don’t pretend to be “fighting the good fight”.

Goode is pro-life and Romney is pro-abortion for “health” of mother, a position that covers everything from colds to sore muscles.
Goode is for natural marriage and Romney is for gay couples, gay adoption, gay boy scouts, and a gay military
Goode is against illegal immigration and Romney won’t talk about it, but Jeb Bush says he should be for it.
Goode is for auditing the Fed and Romney is for letting the financial cronies run the country
Goode is for the right to keep and bear arms and Romney is for bi-partisan gun control legislation
Goode is for individual responsibility and Romney is for Big Government health care
Goode is for cutting spending and Romney is for a plan that cut’s the rate of spending, and assuming 4% growth for 30 years will end up with a balanced budget.
Goode is for eliminating the Dept of Education and Romney is for keeping it.
There are at least 4 candidates, but there are millions of voters.
Some voters will have pretend conservative votes, and others will actually vote conservative.
Goode a real conservative.
Romney a real liberal.
