It’s surprising how hard it has been for some supposed conservatives to stand on principle rather than bow like a reed to the winds of what’s popular or not at the moment.

[Obama is not only a vapid failure but celebrates all abortion including grisly third trimester killing.]

Well, actually, 4th trimester baby killing, if you’ll pardon the expression. Don’t forget the “born Alive” travesty. It is open infanticide. I suspect he’s just following in lockstep with the philosophical leading edge of the left, folks like Princeton bioethics prof Peter Singer, who comes up with gems like this:

“Human babies are not born self-aware, or capable of grasping that they exist over time. They are not persons”; therefore, “the life of a newborn is of less value than the life of a pig, a dog, or a chimpanzee.”
…from http://www.equip.org/articles/peter-singers-bold-defense-of-infanticide/

This is, I believe, where Obama and his inner circle are intentionally going. The left’s grand, utopian vision for the future of humanity, the reason for abortion in general, death panels, genetic screening, etc., is to put in place all the tools required for the eugenic reengineering of the human race. One of the reasons the leftist elite hate Palin so much is that saving Trig’s life was an act of direct defiance of their central materialistic utopian principle. They imagine themselves cleansing the human race of its “genetic burden.”

Yes, they call it that. All those defects build up over time. Sometimes you get a Trig. Often you get a religious bitter clinger. Just get rid of them all, at any age. Then and only then will we have utopia. Under Marx the human creature is a perfectible animal. He can be bred, the herd culled of “defectives,” the ordinaries put to service to the state, and the best put in positions of absolute power, because they will be so wise, with all that genetic purity. It is the stuff of nightmares, and our last best chance to fight it off is right now. But with no help from either presidential candidate.

And the RNC still refuses to support him.

Have you noticed that since Todd Akin has kept his mouth shut and has not pontificated on rape and abortion, he is up in the polls.

Maybe the winning stategery is focusing on Claire McCaskill.

I know that will go over your head, since your enemy is the GOP-e.

They jumped to an ill considered position last week and will dig in, defend it, no matter what.

And the RNC still refuses to support him.

Why should they.

He makes a dumbass remark, and a half-heartedly apology for it, and gives McCkaskill ammunition to use against him.

Do you have any business sense?

You sound like Rosie O'Donnell, saying that Obama is not liberal enough.

MEN love people who stick to their guns, like Akin did. Whiners complain, whine, and fret about what might happen! Keep praying for Akin folks! He certainly isn’t getting any help from the leftist GOP!

A gaffe, is a gaffe, is a gaffe, and you elephant want me to take it and lay back and enjoy it like the democrats lay back when Joe Biden and Obama make a gaffe.

Yes.

Things like this would get no traction if it weren't for "conservatives" like you.

You ARE the problem.

And letting Biden get away with his 30 years of gaffes and becoming VP is not the problem?

Well whatever, if you want to follow the Biden model, so be it.

Do you see anybody on his side substantively trying to get rid of him?

No and that is why they are democrats, words mean nothing.

Do you want to follow that model?

“Our GOPe go-along posters here are going to have an absolute fit. They promised us Akin was DONE. I’m sure they’ll try twice as hard to destroy him though after reading this. After all, it’s what Rove and Romney want.”

What a load of crap! All Republicans have a vested interest in securing that Senate seat! This guy stepped on his dick big time and these polls are not the most reliable ones to view. Akin did not win the nomination in a landslide! So it’s reasonable when he tanks through his stupid statement, that he should, for the good of us all, relinquish his position to someone who stands a chance of winning. In looking at Akin’s record in the House, you can’t say he was a leader, so just why do we all have to allow him to sink our chances in the Senate? If he manages to regain his lead, good; but I won’t be holding my breath till I see it from credible sources.

I have sense enough to support the GOP candidate when he is very able to win this.

I didn't know misstatements were considered unforgivable offenses by the GOP.
