George Zimmerman Is Getting A New Judge After He Alleges Flagrant Bias

They said it was a "close call," but three judges for Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeals ruled George Zimmerman deserves a new judge.
Zimmerman's lawyer requested a new judge last month, saying Judge Kenneth Lester is blatantly biased against his client.
Lester has steadfastly refused to step down, claiming attorney Mark O'Mara's request was "legally insufficient."
But now, it looks like Lester doesn't get a choice.
The Fifth Circuit ruled Lester should "enter an order of disqualification which requests the chief circuit judge to appoint a successor judge," the Orlando Sentinel reported Wednesday.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. He has maintained he acted in self-defense when he shot the teenager.

He needs a new prosecutor too, for the same reason.
Then the case would be justifiably dismissed.
Next, give Angela Corey (the prosecutor) the Nifong treatment she so richly deserves.
I’m shocked. a reporter gets fired for racebaiting about romney and now this. I’m so used to liberals getting their way and never being held accountable. What a pleasant surprise.
I support this. It would seem to me the court saved itself a problem down the line too, because this would have been issue one for an appeal.
Judge Lester REALLY wanted to be the judge for this trial. That makes me think he had his own agenda that the trial played into. Of course it might have been something as venal as politics and getting name recognition for running for higher office.

Translated from judicial-opinion-speak, that means it was about as close a call as you would get if Rosie O'Donnell was on third base and tried to steal home base.
Trayvon Martin, the thug and loser, will be invoked to incite Racial Division, as if every black hoodlum in America somehow deserves to be appeased, not shot.
Good. The things this judge were saying publicly evidenced bias. I can only imagine what he was saying privately.
This is unexpected good news. Good riddance to bad trash.
Some judges get their own show, write books and get guest speaker gigs from the publicity of a huge trial. I read where one actress from Poltergiest was murdered and a journalist was summoned to the judge’s chambers during the trial. He thought the judge was going to ask for credentials or something but the judge wanted to try on eyeglasses for the reporter to see which ones looked better on camera.
Not saying this judge was looking for publicity but they have a duty to be fair and not show bias or have an agenda.

Good news for Zimmerman. That judge seemed a leetle too eager for the job.

I think so. I don’t think they got to the point of asking Lester for the hearing. If they had, then they would have the additional burden of overturning a Lester decision. Any decisions Lester has already made still stand, except for the one he made to dismiss the request to recuse.
I think the next phase should be very short and perhaps swift....and the whole matter will be dismissed.
Zimmerman should have never been arrested and EVERYONE knows it.

It's great news! Funny how things can turn on a dime.
Yesterday Debra S. Nelson was the judge for Zimmerman's wife and today she is the judge for Zimmerman himself. Have they jumped from the frying pan into the fire? Maybe they'll try for a change of venue next.
I wonder if she's also the judge for Zimmerman's pill-popping mother-in-law and Frank 'Short-Term Vision' Taaffe. Zimmerman wanted to get Judge O.H. Eaton.
Hopefully, Judge Nelson will get this case on a fast track. Six months have passed with the defense not doing their discovery. I don't think she is going to let it drag out for 2 years like O'Mara thinks it will.
Actually it's the prosecution dragging its feet so the Scheme Team can have more time to scheme and connive to try to shake down some insurance companies. And they still have not turned over the tox report and the phone records are still inaccurate.
