Yesterday the Republican Party elected Mitt Romney as their presidential nominee at their national convention happening this week in Tampa, Florida to face Libertarian Party presidential nominee Gary Johnson and expected Democratic Party presidential nominee Barack Obama in the November 6, 2012 general election. Voting delegates at the convention voted for Romney by a landslide and Ron Paul received a significant number of votes and to a much lesser extent, other Republicans who had dropped or suspended their campaigns.

Before yesterday's nomination process began, Republican Party chairman, Reince Priebus was calling Mitt Romney the nominee facing Barack Obama ignoring the fact he had not yet been elected to be the Republican Party's nominee. Other Republican Party officials did the same before a vote had been cast. Rather than be impartial, as most feel they should be, these Republican Party officials clearly had, and publicly voiced, bias against other nominees in favor of Mitt Romney.
Ron Paul delegates were the most vocal on the convention floor during the nomination process even shouting "Ron Paul" over other Republicans shouting "USA." Eventually Ron Paul supporters walked off the convention floor in protest. By all measures the Republican Party completely disrespected Ron Paul and his supporters.
Ron Paul and his supporters have been a thorn in the side of the Republican Party since before Paul ran for president in 2008 and as Paul's support around the country grew over the last four years to millions of Americans, the thorn was festering within the GOP. True, since a good number of them are the same people who voted for Obama in the last election and quite a few of Paul’s support was in the Occutard camps. I don’t see that many were “conservatives” but were posers who were wearing the conservative label to try to get more attention on their crazy uncle.

Everyone I have ever asked has said that if they couldn’t vote for Paul, they would vote Democrat. It is not about anything except legalized pot.

It is to early to look back on the past Primary Campaign and pick out the best ideas from each Candidate. Single issue rejection is still the hot-button reflex of the day.
It is noteworthy that the winner had one of the most unclear set of ideas as to what he proposed to do. Hopefully, Romney will reduce his magic 59 points into 3-5 major ideas in his Convention Speechso we known what he plans to do.
Herman Cain gave the Republican Party a 27 % maximum tax rate, broken down into 3 groups. Once the Liberal Agenda Media (LAM) got rid of Cain, no other Candidate picked up Cain’s 9-9-9 Plan, but we Cain supporters are still here, waiting - - - .
Ron Paul is the Father of the TEA Party. The article, discussing the Ron Paul supporters, states: “ - - -the Republican Party leadership would be glad to rid themselves of them so they do not have to be constantly reminded to vote for a smaller, less intrusive government.”
If the author of the article is correct, then no RINO will dare to combat Romney/Ryan by voting for a smaller, less intrusive Federal Government.
What the author does not take into account is that the US Federal Government will fail financially before the Ryan Budget balances in 18 years.
IOW, whatever politician sits in the White House will have to call for help from the TEA Party, who have been in the Republican Party all along, waiting - - - .
I was horrified on Tuesday. I have been an (R) voter for years and I am now energized and thrilled. So the party I thought was my party exposed itself. They have denigrated independent thinkers for years and I have ignored it. Now they have grown so bold in their determination to lead as elitist that I can no longer lie to myself that they are the conservative party, or that they are the party that cares the most about the constitution. They had a golden opportunity this time around. But instead they have exposed their true nature for me to finally see just how deep the corruption runs.
They are not about voting and counting the votes, that is for sure. lol
As an insider of sorts from within the republican party let me give you a picture of what I have seen. Over the course of many years, I have gravitated towards those who are genuinely interested in the principles of American Conservatism within the party and have tried to mostly ignored those with the lashing out or bullying mentality towards those who disagree. I’ve never been a joiner per se. I’ve long since decided not to donate to the party, only to individual candidates, but to keep with the party in voting time and time again.
I have at various times described myself as a Republican, an Independent, an independent thinker, a constitutional conservative, and American conservative and as having a bit of a libertarian streak, or even quite a libertarian streak.
... all the while voting republican and never campaigning for Dr. Paul or for any candidate from any other party. but watching and understanding much.
What happened on Tuesday, was not really about Ron Paul. It was about all of us. I don’t think the GOP knows what it has done, and I am just as glad if they don’t. But they never knew who there voters were and now they have exposed themselves.
What happened on Tuesday was about who they really are, how dirty they are willing to play, and how many of us there are who saw it and were changed by it. I took a turn that day for sure. And from what I am seeing there are many like many who did as well. Goodbye GOP
I would be very inclined to believe the accusations that all Romney was doing was sending the Paul supporters back to Obama IF I had not read the above last week. Boehner would rather play golf with Obama than keep his oath he took as a US House Representative. Boehner could have pulled the funding plug on Oromery care the day he became Speaker of the House.... Boehner is a play actor who forgets who voted in large numbers to give him his present gig.
By the Romney Campaign treatment at the Convention of Conservative delegates, rules and potential guest speakers, it is easy to conclude that Romney/Ryan are confident that they will squeak by Obama with a narrow win in November without strong support from the undecided Conservative voters.
The “neutral” undecided voters found in the Media Opinion Polls plus the now adrift undecided Conservative voters will make the total Undecided vote a bigger voter block than before the RNC Convention. A political blunder by design.
Thus, the total Undecided vote will be a more significant wedge vote than before, much to the delight of the Democrat Candidates for the Senate and House who are looking for long Obama coat tails.
Will Romney try to correct this Campaign blunder? Will he even recognize it as a blunder?
Romney could, in his Convention Speech tonight, choose to include the TEA Party base in his Campaign, but this may be his last chance to do so - - - .

I do not think he will. I think there are forces at play that politics as usual types cannot understand. I think the current corruptions associated with our two party past are at an end. President Johnson will be a big surprise to Robamney.
