Deport all the illegals and our unemployment rate drops noticeably...particularly for younger and minority citizens. The economic well being of my fellow Americans means *much* to me than that of any foreigner from ANYWHERE!

Aside from the implied “I’m squishy on illegal immigration” it was a good speech.

Compasionate?

How about everyone waits in line and jumps through the very same hoops as everyone else? I can’t think of anything more compasionate than that.

At least we’ll know those people actually want to be here, and become American Citizens, and not just to suckle at the taxpayer’s teat.

She said we need to be compassionate. Now wait to see before you assume.

My husband emigrated here with me, in 1986. IIRC, at the American Embassy where we were making the application, we were asked his skill. I remember something about ‘not being a burden to the American system’. When did that go away? You used to have to prove you had a skill that was needed in this country and that there were people here that would support you if you didn’t immediately find a job. No problem for us. And just a little aside.....he was required to carry his ‘papers’ with him to be surrendered if asked by law enforcement. And he is from one of our close allies. BUILD THE FENCE!!! And then get back to intelligent immigration policies. And NO, WE ARE NOT RACISTS if we want to assure the continuing success of our once great country.

We’ve already got a “compassionate” immigration policy. It works great. Americans are just pissed off at those who trample that policy along with our laws while invading our country. America is not a pinata.

How about a Compassionate Immigration Policy for American citizens, Ms Rice?

It is time for all the Amnesty Loving, Mexican Drug Cartel Loving RINOs to leave the party. Even Obama and the Dems know that America does not want Illegal Alien Amnesty...even Democrat voters...they could not pass Amnesty when they had the majority...and had to back door it with Executive Orders

Illegal Alien Amnesty is Anti-American Bigotry. If you are not willing to seal the border AND deport all the illegal aliens....you support Amnesty

She did a good job and Ryan is hitting the ball out of the park.

He rejects the supervision and planning from the central planners-————love it!

Sending the illegal aliens home to make way for the legal immigrants is certainly compassionate.

Cutting back on legal immigration to make way for more illegal aliens is not compassionate.

Why is it I know Condo doesn't think about the situation that way.

That hispanic “reverend” who did the opening prayer on Tuesday I believe (I didn’t see it, just read an article with him identified as the opening prayer guy), was a La Raza pimp who is an advocate for illegal immigration but is a “Republican.” Amnesty pimps are IN, conservatives are OUT.

GOING FOR HISPANIC VOTE???????? WILL NEED IT IN SOME STATES.I thought she did a great job of explaining why we need to vote Obama out without scaring people.

This “We need to pass Amnesty so that Hispanics vote GOP” is a total myth that cannot be supported with facts

In fact, John McCain, who wrote the Illegal Amnesty bill with Ted Kennedy in 2007...got only 31% of the Hispanic vote in 2008. Amnesty does not bring in Hispanic voters

Rice’s comments are just more Anti-American Bigotry. And wrought w BS

I remember something about ‘not being a burden to the American system’. When did that go away? You used to have to prove you had a skill that was needed in this country and that there were people here that would support you if you didn’t immediately find a job.

That's all gone. Don't matter what kind of skill ya got, it's not needed any longer. Ya got 10s of millions of Americans out of work or underemployed.

Zip, gone..

Just watch the GOP run for the tall grass over this country killing issue.

As they've done time and time again, over and over. And why they no longer get my support...

I'm here to expose them while showing total contempt for these frauds.

I listened to her speech and did not hear that. I’m sure she believes in it having been part of George W Bush’s administration but I didn’t hear her say that.

I most liked it when she said that if we retreat from our role in the world, that role will be filled by a country that doesn’t have our same values. You can’t lead from behind. It was a terrific speech. If she’s angling for a post in the Romney WH, I hope she gets it.

Now that’s a compassionate plan I can get behind & support 100%!
You just know Ms. Condi voted for this PINO—Another one who gives a great speech, but her actions go 180 the other direction.
