WASHINGTON, Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The U.S. Clean Heat & Power Association (U.S. CHP Association) today praised the Obama Administration for today's Executive Order, "Accelerating Investment in Industrial Energy Efficiency," which calls for a national combined heat and power deployment goal of an additional 40GW by 2020. Currently supplying twelve percent (12%) of U.S. energy capacity, CHP systems can reach efficiencies above eighty percent (80%). There is approximately 82 GW of CHP installed in the U.S. and industry estimates indicate the technical potential for additional CHP at existing sites in the U.S. is approximately 130 GW (plus an additional 10 GW of waste heat recovery CHP).

Prelude to a second term....daily “Executive Orders”
I pray Mitt will undo each and every Obama EO and all Bush’s as well.
” I pray Mitt will undo each and every Obama EO and all Bushs as well.”
Not to ruin your day, but if Obama loses, he will attempt to EO us into hell before he is forced to leave the WH.
If the left hand encourages CHP and Dear Leader's right hand (EPA) prevents it, he will have the perfect image of action activity to try to sell the voters with the lie that he is actually doing something about our energy shortage. EPA is hell bend on shutting down all coal plants and many older power plants in the USA. CHP is good, but if Dear Leader really wants CHP he will need to instruct EPA to give them some exemptions so that they can be situated in downtown or urban cores where the “heat” and “power” can be used with the least infrastructure costs.
Image over substance.
This is another shot at the coal industry. The equipment runs on nat gas. You can bet the power companies will retain ownership and granted sole contractor status on installation and maintenance. All those wonderful savings on paper will never be realized by the end user.
More pork for political contributors.
“I pray Mitt will undo each and every Obama EO and all Bushs as well.”
It is time to severely restrict what an EO can do. A start would be to kill all existing, active EO’s.
