Paul Ryan’s speech brought more than just cheers to the convention hall Wednesday night, it picked a fight.
The VP candidate’s speech had RNC delegates at a fever pitch from the beginning. It brought a packed convention arena to its feet with over a dozen standing ovations. By many reports and reactions, Paul Ryan can count his keynote a resounding success.
And while the speech was filled with conservative buzzwords, what really hat had the faithful cheering were the well timed one-liners about President Obama and his record.
Convention delegate and lifelong Republican Mark Mitchell told TheBlaze, “That speech is what we were waiting for!” Mitchell continued enthusiastically, “We want a candidate that can expose and fight our administration and their B.S. Ryan came out fighting, we like that!”
Here are the loudest most well-received Ryan zingers according to the non-scientific Blaze method of sitting in the convention hall with an ancient decibel meter (our ears).
10. “Their moment came and went. Fear and division are all they’ve got left. With all their attack ads, the president is just throwing away money— and he’s pretty experienced at that.”
9. “President Barack Obama came to office during an economic crisis, as he has reminded us a time or two.”
8. “It all started off with stirring speeches, Greek columns, the thrill of something new. Now all that’s left is a presidency adrift, surviving on slogans that already seem tired, grasping at a moment that has already passed, like a ship trying to sail on yesterday’s wind.”
7. “The man assumed office almost four years ago— isn’t it about time he assumed responsibility?”
6. ”None of us have to settle for the best this administration offers— a dull, adventureless journey

While I loved the crack about Mitt’s music selection, my personal favorite was the one about a ship trying to sail on yesterday’s wind.
The “faded 0bama poster” line was great.. GREAT SPEECH!!!
I’d like to hear Ryan use a one-liner about his budget:
“The key difference between the Romney-Ryan budget and the current liberal budget? We have one.”
The best one:
”None of us have to settle for the best this administration offers— a dull, adventureless journey from one entitlement to the next, a government-planned life, a country where everything is free but us.”
And the rest of them?
YES! I totally agree with your choice. It brought to mind the rats Julia story...drifting along under the umbrella of bureaucrats for her entire life and
“where everything is free but us”.

Especially since next week the "Idiot in Chief" and his mind numbed minions plan on featuring
a thirty something Law school operative...errr... I mean "student"
who wants us to pay her contraception bill for all that sex she's having with her escorts...... errrr..... I mean dates.
Note: Liberals are more affected personally by criticism than conservatives.
Good Speech, but remember the context.
Ryan is a token conservative. The convention is designed to “keep” the conservative vote.
Its just SHAM-WOW.
Romney will never follow a generally conservative policy nor will he undo the damage Obama has done to our nation and diminish the role of government interference in the lives of free Americans.
Eff the GOP. Its dead and dying.It does not represent the People, and in truth is seeking to marginalize conservative Tea Party people, while spouting conservative platitudes at the convention.
I will not vote for any RINO, certainly not for Romney. I will vote only Tea Party where they are offered as candidates.
Ryan gave a great speech, but Condi Rice really stole the show, IMHO. Her speech was devastating in its clinical style and her presence on that stage was clearly that of a statesman, not just a mere politician.
I liked the line about Romney’s elevator music. Romney should have a come back tonight. That would show him to be human. Some of us wonder.
My fav... I also like that Ryan's speech is about all of us... not just those of us who have built a business....
Nothing especially clever in that list, but if they’d been presented with Palin’s delivery, they’d have got laughs.
It seems unavoidable to vote for Romney.
That is to say, there’s nothing to prevent Obama from trying to turn a second term into something Lenin would dream of. But a first Romney term would give us a chance to turn the ship of the GOP toward inevitable collision with the distant iceberg, while renewing Tea party goals.
I agree. This should be incorporated into every speech.
