Ryan freaks out Obamaland
Wash Post ^ | 8-30-12 | Jen Rubin

The Democrats are losing it, literally. The Obama camp and its surrogates are losing the fight to control the narrative about Mitt Romney and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) They are losing the effort to distract voters through the presence at the GOP convention of Obama campaign staffers such as Robert Gibbs and Ben LaBolt, who spend their time wandering about and whining to the media here in Tampa about the “negativity” of the other side. They are losing the ability to con the media into focusing on likability, as if perceptions of Romney and Ryan wouldn’t improve after this event.

That spilled over last night in a group outburst from Romney-Ryan critics over Paul Ryan’s speech. Needless to say, the speech was a ringing success with delegates and in much of the mainstream media. Ryan bloodied President Obama with blow after blow, all the while appearing cheery and sincere. The crowd loved it. So nearly en masse the left decided that Ryan “lied.”

For starters, that is the ultimate compliment. It is in effect saying the speech worked so well and was received so well that the only thing to say is that it was a con job.

But the “lies” turn out not to be lies at all. They are not even misrepresentations or exaggerations.

"I understand the frustration of Obama’s camp and its supporters. Moreover, I think much of the media accusations were offered in haste in an effort to get out the instant reaction without the media doing their full homework. It is a revealing moment, for the press and the Obama camp. For members of the Obama team, it means they are losing the race, and they know it."

I think they’ll be losing more after the Dim convention, with the likes of Sandra Fluke speaking.

The DNC convention will be a world class theater of the absurd with whining and lying Liberals.

Between the MSM wall-to-wall indulgence of their infantile theatrics to their own efforts to out-lie one another, it will be a regular sewer.

““College graduates should not have to live out their 20s in their childhood bedrooms, staring up at fading Obama posters and wondering when they can move out and get going with life,” “

Best line in several years of politics. It says volumes in a small number of words.
Bravo!!

Man, I remember that day!

From doing some research into my father-in-law's wounding on August 11, 1944 near Vire, France, I've renewed my interest in WWI reading and videos. What that generation went through to protect our freedom is appalling.

Right now I'm reading Challenge for the Pacific: Guadalcanal: The Turning Point of the War" by Robert Leckie. What a great first-hand account.

Someone here mentioned a year or two ago that their grandfather, who fought in the pacific war, had kept a diary of the goings on. The freeper said that the atrocities commited by his grandfather’s group were unbelievable, but it was war. Without getting into specifics, it was mentioned that it was not practical for them to take prisoners, if you get my drift.

Apparently, war IS hell. Even the “good” war.

You can pretty much go the opposite of whatever the obama regime spews out their lying lips. They said Ryan was a bad pick. In reality, RYAN IS THEIR WORST NIGHTMARE. The american people are fed up with the constant LIES, FORGERY, SPIN, DECEPTION, of the FOREIGNER’S REGIME and his MSM supporters. It’s all over politically for this crowd come November when we boot their anti american rear ends all the way to cuba.

Yes, a great line...actually liked all of Ryan's speech.

Did not see Pawlenty's appearance but he did have a good one-liner. Called The Kenyan the "Tattoo President - seemed like a good idea when you were young."

Best line in the comments section of the WaPo article:

"...if someone asks you what the main difference is between most of the Obama supporters, and Romney supporters, instead of stammering, and stuttering, and looking for an answer, just tell them that the Romney supporters sign their checks on the front, and the Obama supporters sign their checks on the back."
