Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus Thursday unleashed a sharp attack on liberal TV critic Chris Matthews, calling the MSNBC Hardball host "bizarre," "unhinged," and "hysterical" for charging the GOP with playing the race card. Appearing on America's Radio News Network with hosts John McCaslin and Chris Salcedo, Priebus said that when challenged by Matthews over race earlier this week, he tried to avoid a fight, though he did call Matthews a "jerk." Matthews is a drunk, plain and simple.
He is notorious around DC for being drunk and rude to waitresses.
His wife is a local news anchor so none of his antics get any publicity.

Oh, how I would love for Todd Palin to bump into Matthews one of these days. For all the vile things he has said about Sarah and his family, who could blame Todd if he proceeded to knock all of his teeth out of his head! That would be must see TV!!

Y’know, I’ve wondered for a while now if something isn’t genuinely (as in, medically) wrong with Chris Matthews. I remember the guy back in his CNBC days. He was liberal, but he was usually fair, and a lot of times had some interesting things to say. Now, he’s just out in the MSNBC ozone. He doesn’t even make sense a lot of the time now.
It’s not him. It’s in the air. These are profound times, is what I think. So much is just sliding by. Is it all inevitable? That’s the only question.

I think MSNBC needs to revamp its’ entire programming. Who in their right mind would have Al Sharpton on a program? Fox News got criticized for having him as a guest, and MSNBC gives him a forum! This man belongs in jail for his part in the Tawana Brawley, Duke University, and the Jena, La. hoaxes. Do you think the problem could be the management of MSNBC?
We grew up in a country where appeals to race have been awful, terrible....What is this supposed to mean? I never appealed to anyone on their race. I did appeal to their behavior or lack of civility, education and manners no matter what the race was. Talk about unhinged and bizzaar.
Well. Matthews revealed why he carries the racism line where no one has gone before. He sees himself as a civil rights hero because he drives his car from his lily white enclave through the streets of “black majority” Washington. Meanwhile, he sits there with Sharpton , who show just how far the leftists are willing to take a real race hustler, making him arguably the most prominent black commentator in America
