Election 2012: America Will Never Be the Same - if Obama wins and free to pursue his inner Che
The American Spectator ^ | August 31, 2012 | Peter Ferrara

The world is dynamic rather than static, so constantly thinking ahead is the key to understanding. Recognize now that on the morning after the election, whatever the result, America will never be the same. The results themselves will have wrought basic, fundamental change for the body politic. That inevitability underlines and highlights what you should be doing now to influence those results.

Karl Marx's Last Stand

The wildly overconfident Left is least attuned to what is at stake for them. If Barack Obama is routed this fall as he should be, it will be worse for the left-wing neo-Marxist views he represents than if he had never been elected at all. For then the voters will have seen what he is offering and rejected it.

.......The last four years have been a coming out party for the Democrats. For over a hundred years now, Progressivism, a polite, Americanized term for Marxism, has been infiltrating and taking over the Democrat party, the national media, academia, the courts. But until now they have effectively hidden what they are all about. Under Obama, however, the heart and soul of the party has been let out of the closet and revealed (only for those paying attention, however, not the millions who so stubbornly still are not). And that heart and soul is Che.

Having attended Harvard College and Harvard Law School, I saw all of this first hand. I saw all those prep school Marxists pledging to each other life long fealty to the worldwide socialist revolution, and going on to pose as "liberal" reporters and commentators, "liberal" environmentalists plotting the destruction of capitalism and its middle class prosperity from within, "liberal" candidates moderated just enough to get elected............

And that heart and soul is Che.

That's true. The wealthy, educated Che who posed as a peasant, hated black Cubans (he regarded them as subnormal and said so), personally ordered and even witnessed the killing of anyone who even murmured against the "revolution" - and who was in combat exactly once, when he was trying to stir up trouble in Bolivia, at which point he threw down his weapon, surrendered and said "I'm Che, I'm worth more to you alive than dead." Fortunately, the Bolivians shot him anyway.

What a guy!

Hadn't thought of it that way and as an avid Rush listener, I'm surprised he didn't make this point; he may have and I missed it, but it makes sense.

I might not be the death knell of all things Libs, but certainly would set them back for a long time....I hope.

I've simply been worried for our country which Dear Reader and his commie, hate-America regime has done (and will/would do) if given another 4 years to finish what he started and I fear we might not recover, thus though Mitt was not my 1st (or even 5th) choice, I'll take my chances on someone who I don't perceive hates the U.S. or has said or done anything which leads me to believe he would intentionally work towards harming--if not DESTROYING--our Great Republic.

I'm praying like I've never prayed before!!!

I have an idea - let’s attack the one who has a chance to dethrone him...oh wait; it’s being tried.

As bad as its going to be, i do believe he will win reelection :( I cant give you a good reason. I felt sure that McLame/Palin would win, they did not.

And now as bad as things are , i see no reason why zero should be reelected, but I have little faith in my fellow citizens. If wrong, I will GLADLY eat all the crow you can find :)

I have nothing against Mitt, seems like a good family man, and a good leader, but the left has a way of tearing people down and I dont know if Mitt is ready for that kind of attack yet...

Praying I am wrong...

David Horowitz put it so well in this 2000 piece........."New Left progressives—including Hillary Clinton and her comrade, Acting Deputy Attorney General Bill Lann Lee—were involved in supporting, or protecting or making excuses for violent anti-American radicals abroad like the Vietcong and anti-American criminals at home like the Black Panthers.* We did this then—just as progressives still do now—in the name of "social justice" and a dialectical world-view that made this deception appear ethical and the fantasy seem possible.

As a student of the left, Jamie Glazov, has observed in an article about the middle-class defenders of recently captured Seventies terrorist Kathy Soliah: "if you can successfully camouflage your own pathology and hatred with a concern for the 'poor' and the 'downtrodden,' then there will always be a 'progressive' milieu to support and defend you."* Huey Newton, George Jackson, Bernadine Dohrn, Sylvia Baraldini, Rubin Carter, Mumia Abu-Jamal, Rigoberta Menchu and innumerable others have all discovered this principle in the course of their criminal careers.

There is a superficial sense, of course, in which we were civil rights and peace activists—and that is certainly the way I would have described myself at the time, particularly if I were speaking to a non-left audience. It is certainly the way Mrs. Clinton and my former comrades in the left refer to themselves and their pasts in similar contexts today.

But they are lying. (And when they defend racial preferences now—a principle they denounced as "racist" then—even they must know it)."......

If you were active in the so-called "peace" movement or in the radical wing of the civil rights causes, why would you tell the truth? Why would you tell people that no, you weren't really a "peace activist," except in the sense that you were against America's war. Why would you draw attention to the fact that while you called yourselves "peace activists," you didn't oppose the Communists' war, and were gratified when America's enemies won?

What you were really against was not war at all, but American "imperialism" and American capitalism. What you truly hated was America's democracy, which you knew to be a "sham" because it was controlled by money in the end. That's why you wanted to "Bring the Troops Home," as your slogan said. Because if America's troops came home, America would lose and the Communists would win. And the progressive future would be one step closer."........

However it turns out in November, there will be civil strife at a level not seen since the War Between the States. Those who support the loser will be the main movers in the trouble.
Why do you think fedzilla has stocked up on all that ammo?

If Obama wins, it means we have turned the corner for the worse. A president with his dismal record shouldn’t get more than 30% of the vote. (25% of the electorate are certified lunatics, thieves, or leftists...the other 5% is just misguided). Carter got 40% in 1980, and although his admin was a catastrophe, it wasn’t quite the full-scale, galactic disaster of the Obama admin. At least Carter didn’t say he wanted to fundamentally change the country and violate the constitution at every opportunity. Carter was just thoroughly inept.

In spite of what the judas goats on this forum say, the reason fedzilla is stocking up on ammo is to use it on Conservatives that do not kiss the ass of their [fedzilla’s] god, obama.

As an aside, whose house did I say that hurricane Issac was headed for last Sunday morning?

KRMS reported one inch of new rain at 8 this morning.

I stepped out to enjoy the humidity and spotted a scorpion trying to avoid the wet. He got fly swattered.

We’ve found a few more of those critters this year as well. I have the place sprayed four times a year as our small place is in a cut area. I think areas without cuts when they were developed have far fewer.

We got our heaviest after eight.

I've never been stung by one of these bugs and don't much worry about them. They never seem to get very big, I'm told, because the spiders nab them.We have the bug man come by twice a year and this seems to keep things under control.
