“We should sink Todd Akin. If he’s found mysteriously murdered, don’t look for my whereabouts!” joked Rove, according to a Businessweek report of the fundraiser."

This is characterized as a joke, and it probably was intended that way, but it is in the context of GETTING RID OF TODD AKIN.

This is far worse than anything Todd Akin said.

Unbelievably Ignorant.

“only want their ivy league lot in power”

This is the goal, they don’t care about the issue. Oligarch uber alles.

Rove said... “We don’t care who the nominee is, other than get Akin out.”

Rove doesn’t care who the candidate is? Nonsense. He most certainly does care. Who does he think he’s fooling?

http://uscode.house.gov/download/pls/18C41.txt ~ says it’s a class 4 felony punishable with up to 5 years in a federal prison. These things are not jokes. BTW, be careful how you post news about such things or even almost successful assassins now running loose in this country ~ no one will read your post carefully and next thing you know the administrator is going to be up to his or her eyebrows in complaints that YOU, not somebody else, is threatening to kill someone. Here it’s Karl Rove seeming to make a threat. It’s reported in Yahoo and Washington Post, and lord only knows where else.

I think of Rove as one of the crazies, and wonder how we can get him to go quietly into the sunset, like his boss. I know education isn’t everything, and sometimes it is a detriment, but in Rove’s case, a little education would be good, and maybe it would allow him to have a life outside of Republican politics.

Here ya go! Tell him. Lots of people should let this piece of garbage mouth know that he needs to retire with Gore now and he was probably the main problem with GW Bush. Man, makes me very cautious about who I go to for advice.

It is obvious by now....Todd Akin is being attacked because of his beliefs, not his so-called comments

The Pro-Abort Liberals...will they call for Fox to fire Karl Rove...and stop supporting candidates he helps....like Marco Rubio, the Bushes, etc....

Real Conservatives support Todd Akin. If you don’t, you can kiss Karl Rove’s...

Karl thinks he speaks for the party. He doesn’t.

The results of November 7th do.

Well it is proven that Missourians will vote in the widows. Anyone know her views? jk
One worked (Emerson) and the other was a total Epic Fail. That is one political “dynasty” that needs to go away.

I loved Akin’s new commercial about his 6 second mistake compared to her 6 years.

I guess we are supposed to forgive Rove for his vile and stupid remarks, but NEVER forgive Akin for his clumsy interview answer?

I'm all in for Akin and I am all out for Romney. If Romney is going to win this election he is going to have to go after the people who don't give a damn about anything but the economy and his fellow travelers on the pro-abortion, pro-homosexual agenda, pro-socialized medicine wing of the Republican party and the disaffected liberals.

Rove needs to go. He won't go. But he needs to go.

Piss be upon him.

Regardless of what happens this November, Akin is still a member of the House of Representatives. Isn't threatening a Congressman a crime? If this were a Republican joking about murdering a Democratic Member of Congress, there would be screams and howls for his head... and rightly so.

What is worse?

Akin made a stupid comment about “legitimate rape” when everybody knew he didn't mean to legitimize raping women, and combined it with an uninformed statement about women's biology based on wrong things he was apparently told by pro-life doctors. He immediately apologized.

Rove is making jokes about murdering candidates in his own party for the US Senate. He hasn't apologized, and it's not at all clear he wouldn't like to see somebody “take out” Akin by whatever means necessary.

Ten minutes ago I showed my post on Free Republic to a local Democratic candidate for office who laughed and said he's glad to see Republicans fighting each other harder than they're fighting Democrats.

This nonsense needs to stop. I get Rove’s point that Akin’s comment hurt Republicans nationally. I agree. Rove has made his point and given every moderate Republican in the United States the opportunity to put space between him and Akin.

Now let's stop fighting each other and get back to what we're supposed to be doing.

As a master of hardball tactics and pragmatism, I think Rove can understand that.

Akin effectively told the national party “over my dead body”. He might have been better advised not to give them any ideas.

I have been trying for years to get Republicans to recognize that Karl Rove is a veritable albatross around the party's neck. He may have a phenomenal memory; he is analytically deficient. He is responsible for the defeats in 2006 & in part for what happened in 2008.

See, for example, Rove Directed Republican Disaster.

One can only hope that Gov. Romney will not listen to any advice from this would be comedian! He is neither wise nor funny.

This is payback because Akin didn’t vote for Rove’s “compassionate” Conservative big govt policies. So Rove doesn’t care who replaces Akin, what an idiot.
