Maher? As if more than 217 people still cared...

But Rachel Maddow said it was a disaster.

What she meant was Eastwood's speech was over her head.

None for Clint, TWO for the empty chair.

Well I’m from New York and would never leave it.

Whatever floats your boat I guess.

“Maher is a comedian? I don’t think so. Marxists are never funny.”

The whimsy of tyranny. Marxism and Maher, both, are f’n jokes.

Lefties are now claiming that when Eastwood did that finger slash across his throat he was sending a message that obama should be assassinated. So look for that meme to catch on.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you even know what you’re all talking about, or are just more willing to defend the flavor of the month.

Rubio is right to attack Newt here. Newt has advocated a liberal position. To me, THAT is the RINO.

I guess hitchwolf doesn’t like the fact that Eastwood was brilliant and effective. My conclusion is that hitchwolf is either dense or a troll.

Clint said everything but “A man’s got to know his limitations.”

—The line that makes “Magnum Force” worth watching.

The Dem "talking heads" and surrogates just can't bring themselves to acknowledge that the entire world "got" Eastwood's message loud and clear--and they have nowhere to hide.

Agree, too, with Applegateranch's comments on another thread about the genius of Eastwood's use of his object's own "egregious speech pattern," commonly referred to by pseudointellectual "progressives" as a sign of Obama's great intellect and deliberative style. Now, Eastwood's use of it, with "progressives" (an entire set of "empty chairs" when it comes to understanding and defending the ideas of freedom, such a "deliberate" and halting style denotes everything from senility to "doddering fool."

Another gem was his use of a former President's assessment of Romney's "stellar business performance" in this total unmasking of the great destroyer of business in America.

From Geraldo Rivera on FOX to Gloria Borger on CNN, the faux criticism and claims that Eastwood distracted from the Romney speech and Borger's claim that parts were "crass" are laughable when compared with much of the Dem performer language and inferences.

This was a priceless and iconic performance which will live on, long after Eastwood is gone, and Obama is a distant memory in the rearview mirror of presidents.

It took me all of about 20 seconds to conclude he was playing it like a scene from “Harvey”

I was watching it on TV (which kept skipping on sound and video) and then tried watching it on the Internet(CSPAN) (which kept skipping on sound and video). It wasn't until later when I could watch uploaded videos of it that I got the 'shtick'

Even more proof to me Eastwood trolled all of us and was a plant.

A plant?? Only the dims do that. They had Sandra the fluke and debbie blabbermouth sneak into the convention. I say you are a troll.

Now why would this goofball say ANYthing remotely positive? He has an ulterior motive.

Maher- “I knew he was a Republican,” Maher said. “But I thought [he was] kind of an old-school, reasonable Republican. I had no idea he was such a down the line, right-wing a-—hole.”

That sounds like an ulterior motive?

At first I thought his remark that we should “possibly” elect someone new was sabotage.. Then, it occurred to me that this passive overture COULD appeal to a wavering liberal, nudging them towards Romney.

For my part I found it painful, moreso because I know this is a tier 1 veteran actor/director, and expected a smoother delivery.

That was part and parcel of the presentation....

Do you honestly believe that Eastwood...with all his decades of top work as actor and director would come on a set with his hair all fluffed if he didn't tell his make up artist how he wanted it...and his portrayal of an old geezer from someone as smart as a tack and quick as a cobra....?
