Christopher Dodd wasn't the picture of bipartisan compromise as a U.S. Senator.
The Connecticut Democrat fiercely battled on behalf of left-of-center causes. He has different priorities now as head of the Motion Picture Association of America.
This week, Dodd reached all the way across the aisle to toast GOP lawmakers for their efforts in battling Internet piracy, a real concern for his industry given the scourge of illegally downloaded movie content.
The Republican Party platform language strikes a very smart balance: it emphasizes the importance of us doing more as a nation to protect our intellectual property from online theft while underscoring the critical importance of protecting internet freedom.

Exactly! The dems and repubs are using faux concern over internet piracy,to get legislation that will give Obama, the tools to make it easier to shut down and,or,censor the internet. Both political parties want to deny us access to information to protect their sorry Butts. That’s what this legislation is about ,not internet Piracy.
There isn’t an industry Dodd has touched that isn’t wholly corrupted. He’s absolute slime.
