Morning AB, All…..

As always, thank you AB for doing this thread. Gotta couple comments this morn, nothing major but to get things off.

First, what's this weekend?

Labor Day!

It's like Christmas around these parts because the tourists shall go home.

Choir began anew last week so I shall be singing on some Sundays but I like choir so another change I like.

Even my daughter came down this weekend all like a tourist. She, husband and grandkid stopped by, mowed my lawn then went down to daughter's mother-in-law, who lives downey ocean on the Merryland side. Her MIL is in Cancun, right in the middle of hurricane season, man that's brave. So daughter and a bunch of her friends have entire place to themselves, all acting like tourists, I want to smack them silly.

I absolutely loved the Republican convention, every minute of it. Loved Clint Eastwood though at first I was averting my eyes for fear he would be a geezer and embarrass himself.

I thought Romney's speech was terrific. He matter-of-factly dealt with Bain Capital and his Mormonism. I got only one comment about Romney's Mormonism…..he's probably known since a child that this is viewed as an odd religion by many and, indeed, one time my daughter got involved with a bunch of Mormons. To this day she considers them a cult.

I'm also quite sure that Romney's had big ambitions for much of his life. As such, if he thought his faith would harm him in pursuit of the presidency, for example, he could have changed his religion, or completely dropped out from it. But he's still a faithful Mormon and my guess is he's devout. Like he so matter-of-factly said, most times those around him wanted to know his sports affiliation rather than his religion.

Loved, loved, loved Paul Ryan's speech.

None of them took it easy on President Obama. There were rumors all around that the "consultants" are advising all GOP convention attendees to "talk about the future"-code for don't talk bad about Obama. Bill Kristol advised this and right there you have it right from the mouths of the Democrats, as is his wont.

Anyway, more to come. Below a couple of my Blog posts in case anyone is interested.

happy Memorial Day weekend

Er, listen, Rod, you need to take a vacation, buddy! To much fishing pole making and hurricane watching is taking its toll on you!

You've lost about 4 months!

J/K. I know what you meant! ;->

Brilliant expose bray. Here's a post I made Friday on the Limbaugh thread here which goes along with what you are saying. We will have anew President and his name will be Mitt Romney!

From a broadcast standpoint lead-ins can often make or break what you are about to say. If you have a poor lead-in it falls on you to revive the audience, perk them up and invigorate them to hear your message. ON the other hand if you have a Clint Eastwood,a legend, who is fearless, not afraid to say the things the many people are thinking and ends with the audience yelling Make my Day, no one in their right mind would want to follow that!! Its almost sheer broadcast self destruction!! Enter Marco Rubio. He accomplishes the impossible, follows Eastwood, equals his performance, exudes charisma and then introduces Mitt Romney. At that moment the entire Presidency is on the line!! If Mitt blows it, its over. If he is successful after following two of the most dynamic speakers of our time he's a shoe in the next Rockstar President. Slowly but surely we see that Mitt Romney was up to the task. And he did it in his own way. He drove the nail in the dear leader time and again and still was able to pay homage to other pubbies always the sign of a great leader. In the end he refers to zero saying "he will lower the sea level", Mitt closes with I will help your family just so good you want to wipe the tears away because you know we will have a new President!!The country is saved! Well...isn't this a remarkable coincidence. HillBuzz is reporting the Obamas are planning to purchase a swanky home in Hawaii, selling their Chicago home, rather than move back there in January.

I guess this frees up Rhambo to discuss everything but his dangerous city.

Maybe Rodguy started drinking on Memorial Day and hasn’t stopped yet. He may think it’s still Memorial Day. :)

And here’s Snidely Whiplash saying, with a straight face...”We’ve had 29 straight months of job growth,” and now I know what the Democrats will do during their convention.

To Chris Wallace’s credit, he responded...”You keep talking about Romney, I want you to talk about the Obama record”. Wallace then shows a bunch of damning stats, gas prices soar, unemployment still high.

Axelrod says it will take some time to get through these tough times.

Heh.

Those Dems are going down so bad, so very bad.

Did y’all hear how many Dems are NOT showing up for the Dem convention?

I think the saddest moments last week amidst a rising sea of capitalism, free markets and a return to a USA that we all recognize, were all seen on mslsd. Those clowns went nuts over and over and over.Leading the melee was Capt. Tingly himself.Toward the end Matthews was ready to brawl on the final day when he got heckled again. He’s over the hill and ready for the farm, either retirement or funny, jury is still out.

Axelfishingrod needs to go to therapy. He says the same thing over and over again. Nothing of substance. He just throws out garbage with no thought of reality.

5.4 million jobs added in the last 14 months Hitler says.

So that’s what they’re going to do at the Dem convention....just get up and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie.

Talking points this week folks, heads up! “Turning Medicare into a Voucher Program”.

They sent out the meme this morning so let’s see how many of yon Freepers hear the term.

Fishtalk, I’m here in the Charlotte area. The Commurats have been hitting some of the local bars giving tickets away for The One’s speech. They are really concerned about attendance.

Chris Matthews gets paid to throw his soul into the stinker for the source of his tingly legs. I will always believe this.

Did y’all hear that MSNBC got millions in stimulus money for advertising “green jobs” for the Van Jones group?

Come on people, we got to shed sunlight on all this corruption.

Chris Matthews, there’s a place in hell for you. They have lots of booze and meds for you, keep you calm.

Barring a meltdown of some sort, Mitt Romney won the election Thursday night as he gave the undecided voters a reason to vote for him. Not only did he give them a reason they heard the reason to be excited about the candidate as well as the future of this Country. If after four long years as President the best you have is that you are not George Bush, you have given your boss a reason to send you a pink slip. Most adults have given up on the pointing the finger at the other guy in Junior High which explains why it is still so popular in the DNC.

Romney did a good job by staying “inside himself” as the sports guys like to say.

He presented himself to America as a skilled executive with much experience if an otherwise bland personality, the classic “ordinary person capable of extraordinary things” often referred to at the core of American exceptionalism.

This makes for a perfect contrast to the soaring rhetoric and inane promises of Heaven’s own Comrade Baryosha al Obamsky, messiah and king of the roller derby, aka His Haughtiness.

Romney will roll up his sleeves but keep the tie on, Mr. Fix It, Ward Cleaver, the same Mormon casino floor worker whose simple honesty and morality saved Las Vegas from the wrath of employee skimming and other corruption long ago.

He really did save the Olympics and he has the references to show for it. Boy does he ever. And like Paul Ryan said, “What does that remind you of?”

That’s right, the 2002 Olympics were a foreshadowing of today’s crony ridden American corruptocracy. Find me another man who can put the names Mike Eruzione, Scott Hamilton and Derk Parra on the last page of the same resume. Wow.

You see what a good politician Romney is, what a good campaigner. He brought out Clint Eastwood to leave unsaid but certain that “a man’s got to know his limitations.”

Romney really does. He was perfectly himself and that was as close to perfect as it gets in this ruthless business.

Holy Cow. Wallace is slicing and dicing Axelrod. It is a true bloodbath. You can see Axleface’s blood pressure going up. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him storm off the set. He is really mad.

They don't realize that it's not just Obama going down. Liberalism has morphed into socialism, and the people will reject it this November in a massive repudiation.

Great stuff,as the major cities begin to go bankrupt and the new union jobs start at minimum wage, the welfare moms with 17 kids come to the office and find the cookie jar is bare, the enviro wackos discover that laws and budgets have ruled their side out,its all gonna fall apart. We will have a resurgence of capitalism not seen in years.
