Tutu: Bush, Blair should face trial at the Hague

LONDON - Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Desmond Tutu called Sunday for Tony Blair and George Bush to face prosecution at the International Criminal Court for their role in the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq

Tutu, the retired Anglican Church's archbishop of South Africa, wrote in an op-ed piece for The Observer newspaper that the ex-leaders of Britain and the United States should be made to "answer for their actions."

The Iraq war "has destabilized and polarized the world to a greater extent than any other conflict in history," wrote Tutu, who was awarded the Nobel prize in 1984.

"Those responsible for this suffering and loss of life should be treading the same path as some of their African and Asian peers who have been made to answer for their actions in the Hague," he added.

Tutu should face excommunication for being a heretic.

Throw in Clinton for murdering women and children in Serbia as well as Oboma for murdering women and children in numerous locations and it is a deal

No such luck.

Fortunately only racist blacks pay much attention to him.

Personally I equate him with Mandella, another racist black who helped destroy his own country.

I was baptized Episcopalian & married in an Episcopalian ceremony. You probably really don’t want to brushstroke an ENTIRE group of people. Not cool.

Seventeen U.N. (useless nothing) resolutions tell Tutu to stick it where the sun don’t shine!

Why can't Episcopalians ever win at chess?

They can't tell a bishop from a queen...

*grin*

OK, if the war had not been fought, would Tutu have agreed to be responsible for the deaths of the million or more Sadaam would have murdered since then?

90% of the “innocent” war deaths resulted from the activities of Muslim terrorists, the rest by unintentional collateral damage by coalition troops.

Bush’s “Islam is a religion of peace” comments showed a lack of committment to truly eradicate Islamic Terrorism

The only way to eradicate Islamic terrorism is to eradicate Islam. Ain't gonn'a happen until Amageddon and the defeat of Satan.

Spoken by a guy who knows nothing about history, I guess. I think Tutu may moonlight as this guy...

It’s important to never, ever imagine Tutu moving in with Jimmy Carter to be his boyfriend, because you might imagine the two of them naked together.

So don’t ever do this.

obama’s policies in Egypt and the mahgreb have done more to destabilize the center of the world than 4 years of war in Iraq that removed Saddam Hussein and attempted to boot a muslim country into western political enlightenment

I suppose TuTu considers Mugabe a stabilizing character for Africa. His own country is a cesspool.

Bush sent more US money to Africa than any other world figure, and addressed AIDs with tangible results.

Does tutu have brain shrinkage issues or something else?

They actually wanted to put Clinton on trial.

Bush wouldn’t give him up.

But Phil Donahue loves him!!!

LOL! Thanks for the laugh. I can picture him popping his eyeglasses up with his finger as he does "battle" by shouting down any guest who has the temerity to speak truth to his BS.

Apparently Tutu doesn’t realized that he’s bagged his limit. You only get to obliterate one nation per lifetime.

Sadly the priest is gravely mistaken. Take a long hard look at World War I ,it literally destroyed regimes that had lasted centuries & killed millions & enslaved millions more(Communist Revolution in Russia in 1917). Also the silly priest should be happy that the Middle East except for Israel is not something that resembles the “Forbidden Zone” from the original Planet of the Apes movie back in the 70’s.

Why not? If you are a supportive member of that church, then you are one of the people that has destroyed it for the rest if us. I too grew up in it, and I’m angry it has become the gay church. It is people like you that don’t realize, through their continued support, that YOU are the brush stroke.
