‘Fed Up’ Gingrich Calls Out Media Refusal to Focus on Extremism in Democratic Platform
News Busters ^ | 9-2-12 | Brent Baker

“I’m frankly, fed up, with the one-sided bias,” a frustrated Newt Gingrich asserted on Sunday’s Meet the Press, citing two blatant examples. First: “Where is the outrage over overt, deliberate racism” in Vice President Joe Biden telling a black audience “if the Republicans win you will be ‘in chains’”?

Second, President Obama “voted three times to protect the right of doctors to kill babies who came out of abortion still alive. That plank says tax-paid abortion at any moment, meaning partial birth abortion -- that’s a 20 percent issue,” a position which Democrats “couldn’t defend...for a day if it was made clear and as vivid as all the effort is made to paint Republicans.”

Gingrich charged: “If the news media spent as much time on the extremism of the Democrats as they spend trying to attack us, they would not be able to adopt that plank this week.” Another guest panelist, New York Times columnist Tom Friedman, declared “I’m a Planned Parenthood Democrat on the issue of choice,” but when Gingrich challenged him to defend the Democratic Party platform support for taxpayer funding of late-term and partial-birth abortion, Friedman called it “a defensible position,” then suddenly decided “I’m here as a journalist, I’ll let the Democratic Party defend it.”

Seconds earlier during the roundtable, NBC News eminence Tom Brokaw maintained Republican opposition to abortion is antithetical to full rights for women. “I think this is the century of women,” he asserted before fretting “there is even among some Republican women out there” the view that the “party doesn’t quite buy into that yet.” He contended “the social issues are very important to women. It’s their bodies, their lives, they feel that it’s not entirely embraced by the Republican Party. That’s my own judgment.”

re: “Is Gingroach gonna have even stronger values with his next wife?”

Good Lord, man, yes Gingrich sinned, but in this case he spoke the TRUTH! He defended truth against this panel of “journalists” who probably live worse lives - and advocate no mercy for babies who happen to have the audacity to survive an abortion.

I’m not defending Newt’s wrongs, but when he’s right I think he deserves support - especially from us on Free Republic.

The Republican Party embraces the fact that women’s physical strength is pretty much concentrated in their legs, meaning, this is the area on women’s bodies that can best fight off an attacker in a mugging AND be implemented to avoid unwanted pregnancy by being easily CLOSED.

Democrats give women no such credit for their physical abilities.

newflash: you could have legs like a zebra and it won’t help you if a man twice your size and five times your strength his holding a serious knife to your throat, or a gun, or even his big butcher hands that could strangle you easily in three minutes.

How can anyone wonder why America is in decline? The President of the United States enthusiastically supports the barbaric killing of innocent human life, his political party enshrines the bizarre position into its platform and stands a good chance of being reelected. Therefore he reflects the “values” of a near majority of the population. How can such a people who openly embrace decadence expect to prosper?

Yes he sinned. He has tried to atone...just as all of us do.

I was for Newt...but now I think he may be more affective as a spokesman. As a presidential candidate his words would have been guarded (or not, lol).

He can bring things to the table that need to be said...and if he takes on the msm..they need to be a little bit nervous.

I still would pay good money to see him debate The Won.

But it will not happen in my life time.

The only way to get the enemedia to do its job is for all in the GOP to coordinate around Gingrich’s message about the extremist Dem platform and all put out the same message.

They won’t do it though because they are afraid it will get thrown back in their faces, so they prefer to just let it go.

Gingrich will be conservative for as long as it pays more than being a liberal.

I’m sick of the pro-choice crowd and their mantra that a woman’s body belongs to herself. That isn’t what the Bible teaches:

OUR BODIES ARE TO GLORIFY GOD

A. OUR BODIES...
1. Are now members of Christ - 1Co 6:13-15
a. To be used for the Lord, not immorality
b. Otherwise we make members of Christ members of a harlot!
2. Are now to be instruments of righteousness - Ro 6:12-13,19
a. No longer instruments of unrighteousness to sin
b. No longer slaves of uncleanness leading to lawlessness
— Clearly they are not to be used for sin or self!

B. TO GLORIFY GOD...
1. By how we live - Ro 12:1-2
a. Living sacrificial, holy lives, acceptable to God

Isn’t it funny that the pro-abortion crowd loudly proclaim their bodies as their own, however, will stoop and accept tyrants telling them what they can and can’t eat?

Abortion is murder and nothing anyone says will change that. A fetus is a human being even before formed in the womb.

Jeremiah 1:5:

New International Version (©1984)
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

They can argue all they want, but the Scriptures are very clear that God knew us before we were even in our mother’s wombs.

I don't have a problem with good stewardship of our resources.

I do have a problem with the EPA...that Gingrich is for abolishing.

And what does that have to do with him tackling tough issues? As I recall he was a pretty conservative and effective Speaker Of The House. (please do us both a favor and don't post a Newt/Pelosi picture.)

JEEEEEZE!... please try to understand that the point I was attempting to make is that the liberals don’t believe women have any responsibility to avoid a pregnancy they can’t afford by the simple act of CLOSING THEIR LEGS! They’d rather you and I as taxpayers supply them with contraceptives and abortion whether it is against our beliefs or not.

Women’s physical strength actually IS concentrated in their legs, but, if such an attack as you describe (a “Hulk” of a violent man) occurs, then I would suggest that women use the brain God gave them to anticipate their vulnerability against the physically stronger male of the species and buy, train with, and USE A GUN.
