Actress Betty White is being called on by fans to speak at this week’s Democratic National Convention.
The 90-year-old star, who’s an Obama supporter, is not scheduled to appear, but there's a petition circulating online urging White to introduce the president on Thursday.

Betty White has always played an idiot in her acting career. I believe there is a reason for that and her support of Obama is proof.

It’s also very sad that women who started their careers as moral people suddenly find it necessary to crawl into the hollywood cesspool of immorality. Cosby made it without foul language, but it sems Ms. White just can’t make the grade. She is a shadow image of the once gracious funny lady she used to be.

Here’s the hypocritical crux of the effort... They claim Clint was a disaster, yet they feel the urge to combat his appearance, thus proving that Mr. Eastwood struck political gold.

Here recent series have been nothing but soft porn and idiocy. We watched the Cleveland one for a bit but ultimately couldn’t stand it and the “candid camera” spin off was just stupid and crass.
Eastwood must have really gotten under their skin.
This would be a huge mistake for her. Clint Eastwood’s politics are well known. He has held political office as a Republican and has well known views on politics.
Betty White is another matter, she is not seen by the public as political. Becoming overtly political at this point would discourage people who disagree with her from supporting her as fans.
Conversely, with Clint Eastwood, his politics are already factored into a decision to support his work.
She can lose fans, Eastwood can’t anymore.
