Dinesh lets Maher bully him and can't answer the question about "Obama's Rage".

Why didn't he mention that Obama rejected all Republican ideas when he hollered in rage "We Won!" Remember that. Does that sound like someone "healing" the planet, or does that sound like some Chicago pol who lets a felon buy him a house.

Why didn't he mention in the bankruptcy of Chrysler, Obama's Commizar Rattner told the bondholders who bought the deeply discounted debt - that 'you are not getting a dime more than what you put in and if you fight this, our friends in the media will destroy you.' That is a sick, Pravda-KGB assault on property rights, and demonstrates Obama's hostility to capital. (Ask Tom Lauria of White and Case who represented the bondholders: Lauria offers, “I represent one less investor today than I represented yesterday. One of my clients was directly threatened by the White House and in essence compelled to withdraw its opposition to the deal under the threat that the full force of the White House press corps would destroy its reputation.”)

Why didn't he correct Maher that Carter issued the federal guarantee of Chrysler's debt - that program was already in place. It is one thing to re-neg on government commitments and it is entirely another thing to install them in the first place.

Why didn't Dinesh tell Maher for two years that Obama held both the House and the Senate so stop blaming the Republicans! It was the Democrats who have not even put forth a budget.

Dinesh is a smart guy but I see him get rolled on interviews and debates. You would think he would have his talking points at his finger tips. He cannot get his words out and then finishes the interview not having responded to the charges. Maher made him look like he made this stuff up.

I do give Dinesh credit for disabusing Maher of the idea that Maher's comment at 9/11, "we're the cowards for launching cruise missiles" was somehow equivalent to Dinesh saying the 9/11 hijackers were not cowards. Maher attacked US military personnel and Dinesh only spoke of the hijackers. Score one for Dinesh.

I’m sure Dinesh will write a suitably scathing follow up. He does not do well in the live debate format. That has nothing to do with how valid his actual position is.

I’ve seen this too. I think it may be due to his Indian birth and upbringing. They tend to be politer and less confrontational. They’re not used to arrogant, abusive pricks like Maher. D’Souza really needs to avoid situations like that if he can help it or get training in how to hold his own against some of the nastiest people in the world if he can’t.

I see no point in giving the asshat Maher face time.

Agreed.

I see no point in giving the ANY leftist asshat face time especially on pointless subjects.

This is a duplicate. I disagree with your conclusion. D’Souza left Maher speechless and his audience gasping at the key moment when he rebutted Maher's challenge that he explain how Barry could be influenced by his father whom he barely knew. After regaining his composure Maher coult only retreat to a potty-mouthed empty retort.

D’Souza also handed Maher his head when Maher tried to blame D’Souza for getting him fired from ABC.

Why did he let him interview him in the first place?

Exactly. Politeness is a cultural thing. Indians follow it.

So do the Japanese, who have something like 26 forms of ‘you’ and so forth.

AIT can speak to this.

how come no one ever mentions that the biggest 'policy wonks' in the Democrat Party are Comedians? I caught Maher's version of the Morton Downey Jr Show. It was pretty childish. Why would anyone go on that program knowing that if you dispute what Bill considers a fact, he shouts like a toddler: "It's my show!"

I agree. William F. Buckley would not have done well in a debate with Bill Maher. Few principled conservatives would. It would be like a tennis master matched against an angry, poo flinging howler monkey.

Dinesh did win on the “cowardly” point, but if you are saying Obama has rage - you had better be able to prove it with high order detonation.

Unfortunately, Dinesh can’t jump ugly, he is not of the mindset to play in Maher’s three ring circus. Maher never really debates and yells a lot of inaccuracies, distortions and lies. If Dinesh is going into a zoo like that just to get face time, then he deserves what he gets, but if he is going to legitimize his work, he should be able to argue it persuasively. And even though Maher mind shout him down - get you irrefutable points out there so the record stands.

I saw the movie, and there was good stuff in there, especially about Obama’s family. His mother was a psycho leftist-commie, who left her second husband, Soetoro, because he was working for a big oil company and became too “Western”. She would not go to meet oil company managers at social events because they were against everything she stood for and what she had expected of Soetoro! So she walked out on him! How about that for the roots of some rage. NUTS!

“I see no point in giving the asshat Maher face time.”

Precisely. Our counterpart is probably Ann Coulter. I doubt that either of them have ever converted someone on the other side to change their minds on a single issue. They are oral mudwrestlers, not persuaders. D’Souza tries to persuade.

This is like trying to compare a pointer to a pit bull.

I watched it dsouza won.

Yes maher is more vulgar and more indignant.

That’s irrelevant to the arguments.

At 3:45 Dinesh makes an excellent point to Bill Maher’s assertion that Obama hasn’t been influenced by his father. All Maher can do is make a nasty comment. He’s such a disgusting person.

I have to disagree vehemently to this. Ann Coulter is in no way like Bill Maher. The only time I’ve seen her even remotely raise her voice is when some liberal asshat refuses to let her speak. Where Maher has nothing but abusive behavior and lies, Ann Coulter has the truth and a brilliant mind. There may be some small time conervative radio hosts who can equal Maher in nastiness but all of the name brand conservative are usually much politer and tolerant of opposing viewpoints.
