As the Democratic Party convention gets under way, the public focus should rightly be on the bankrupt philosophy, the stench of corruption and the atmosphere of failure that pervades the political organization headed by Barack Obama.
But something is blocking a clear view right now and its not a slip of the tongue by Missouri Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin, who once again leads his Democratic opponent, Claire McCaskill, in the polls.
It's the person who, more than anyone else, tried to demonize and vilify Akin for that slip of the tongue. No, Im not talking about Rachel Maddow or Arianna Huffington. Im talking about Republican political consultant Karl Rove, who was so quick out of the box to announce publicly that his super PAC, supported to the tune of more than $100 million by Republican donors seeking to win back the U.S. Senate, would withhold all support to the media-beleaguered Akin.
Its now Rove who is hurting his party, not Akin...

Agreed. Rove needs to go. He’s wrong way more than he is correct.
Rove is an independent consultant with his own PAC who has been hired by the networks. I’m not sure Mitt’s campaign nor the RNC have hired him back in a few years.
It’d be great for him to dump on Rove; but, although I’ll certainly be voting for Mitt, I don’t expect him to be paddlin’ upstream against the GOP elite.
As I have stated in a vanity post, my thoughts and prayers to Akin and the conservatives in Missouri, and I hope we all continue with the positive support. If anything, Missourians need to be reminded that McCaskill is for Obamacare and of her voting record; which is far worse than Akin’s gaff.
This is the “genius” who trashed Christine O’Donnell, Sharon Angle, Nikki Haley and now Akin. He has little or no use for Conservatives or the TEA Party.
So why is he still around? I tuned him out long time ago. Won’t watch or listen.
and people need to know that Rove has apologized, by phone, to Akin for the latest comment and Akin accepted his apology.
Karl Rove, the king of the swing voter, who can turn any sure victory into a squeaker -- and than take credit for the win.
Go? Go where? Rove isn’t part of the Romney campaign. He has his own PAC and does what he wants.
rove,rove,rove, your boat
Is sinking in the stream
Verily, verily, verily, verily,
Don’t want you on our team,
Just go away....LOL Not much we can do about it, Rove blabs to the MSM and they eat it up. Conservative/Republican news sites and media need to stop quoting Rove.
Rove isn’t on the ballot. Nobody cares about Rove.
ROVE needs to take to his frikking soapbox on Fox and apologize PUBLICLY.
When will Rove accept Akin’s apology?
I think Farah's objective of shifting the focus from Akin, back to the one attempting to upset the applecart is wise. That's really all the article has to do....solidify a shift in focus.
Rove makes money off the status quo.
You tink he wants them damned Tea Party upstarts making waves?
NO way.
Meaningless words from an empty suit. Tell him to put his money where his apology is, just like Todd Akin did, and write a great big check to his campaign.
Rove is not on Mitt's payroll. It is not possible to "get rid" of someone who is not your employee.
Hey,...Mitt!
There are a lot of deep, empty silver mine shafts in AZ to dump him in.
