US Secretary of State’s comments come after meeting with Indonesian foreign minister
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton speaking in Benin.
“Iran has a right to the use of peaceful nuclear energy,” US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Monday, “but Iran must abide by its international obligations and cannot be permitted to get a nuclear weapons.”
Clinton made the remarks in a press conference in Jakarta following meetings with Indonesia’s foreign minister.
She also commented on the fighting in Syria, saying that the United States was committed to “putting an end to the violence, responding to humanitarian need, and helping to facilitate a political, democratic transition that will benefit the Syrian people.”
During the 1930s, a British prime minister thought the Germans had the right to take over Austria and Czechoslovakia. The Austrians and Czechoslovakians didn’t agree and tried to fight back, but they were too weak to defend themselves.
Now an American Secretary of State thinks the Iranians, who have stated that Israel should be destroyed, have the right to develop nuclear weapons. Israel doesn’t agree and wants to fight back by dismantling Iran’s nuclear sites. Let’s hope they succeed.
Surely if the Austrians and Czecks had been strong enough to defeat Hitler, Britain would have cheered them on since Hitler was also a threat to the British. Yet the Obama administration is so anti-Israel that if Israel should succeed in knocking out Iran’s nuclear capability, which is also a threat to America, no one expects Obama to cheer them on but in fact to do just the opposite.

There is one thing we must never let the world forget.
If Israel gets destroyed it is because liberal Democrats refused to help knowing the potential outcome.
And if a Nuclear war erupts/nuke terror occurs, see above.
There is ZERO way around those simple truths.
If it was for self-defense ok, but they will use it on Israel which is why everyone is against this.
I think all signatories to the non-proliferation treaty have the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. It’s the enrichment of uranium beyond that necessary for peaceful purposes that is forbidden.
I think that’s what Secretary Clinton was saying.

However, this is the first and likely last time I will ever say anything remotely supporting Sec. Edmund Hillary. It certainly isn’t the first and won’t be the last time I may make a mistake.
She means “to become a nuclear power” just as the Clintons were okay with Pakistani and North Korean nukes.
All the while Obama’s policy is to reduce the US nuclear arsenal to ZERO (he’s pushing for 300 for now and has all but removed their actual USE off the table under his administration).
Barack Obama won't even advocate the United States use a nuclear bomb for self-defense. If not us, certainly not Iran.
NO NUKES is strangely silent. Hollywood Reds must not have gotten the message yet.
