President Barack Obama took a veiled jab at his predecessor, George W. Bush, Monday during an appearance in New Orleans, where the former was touring damage caused by last week's Hurricane Isaac.  Here's what Obama said, according to the White House transcript:

That’s all Obama has...beating others down to make himself look good - false economy and liberals love it.

I want to particularly thank FEMA and the state and local authorities, because sometimes in the past we haven’t seen the kind of coordination that is necessary in response to these kinds of disasters.

Seems he’s dissing everyone,,,Bush, Blanco, and Nagin while tooting his own horn at the same time. So much for his “non-political” comments about Issac.

Funny, Dubya had acted already...
...in the same amount of time it took Obama to scream and whine and do nothing before actually shwoing up AFTER it was all said and done to grandstand.

GWB had assets ready and implored Blanco to give the go-ahead. The governor has to give permission for troops and aid to be sent in, by law. I have other suspicions why Blanco stalled, all based on party politics.
1. Blanco did not want to be seen accepting help from Republicans, especially the Evil Bush.
2. If it did turn out to be a mess, well, Its’ Bushes Fault!

I still consider Blanco to be criminally negligent.

He’s a complete jerk and was obviously trying to talk up the wonders of “his” federal government...while at the same time avoiding mentioning that most of those resources existed before, Bush immediately offered help to Louisiana and to New Orleans, and it was turned down by their then (Dem) governor and their then (black) mayor. They had not followed the existing emergency guidelines, and it was a crucial couple of days before hey would even ask the Federal government for resources (I think they were afraid it would make Bush look good if they accepted Federal help) and that is one of the reasons they were both replaced by the voters.

But for the Dems, there’s no point in letting the truth get in the way.

This made me so angry for 3+ years that the RNC and GOP let the Dem’s get away with lying about everything and blaming Bush. Why don’t they ever fight back?

This guy couldn’t organize kids racing at a block party. Who is he to criticize Bush’s handling of Katrina, which wasn’t his fault? Thinking back on it, he gave Blanco and Nagin plenty of latitude to handle it themselves. But of course, I’m sure somebody told them both to drop the ball so Bush could be blamed.

There was a calculated and intentional effort on the part of Democrats to blame Bush for the Katrina disaster. Apart from damaging Bush, it provided cover for the rampant incompetence of the Democratic machine politicians is Louisiana.

Narcissist

For example, it has been recognized for some time that narcissists prize intellectual performance above almost everything else,Ref so a better qualified work colleague would likely evoke a hostile affect through upward comparison.

Because of a propensity to internalize failure, the narcissist's emotional response to failure is to feel shame, as opposed to guilt felt by people without the disorder. So in order to avoid shame, which the narcissist feels must be avoided at all costs, he externalizes blame for negative events.Ref As he feels someone must be guilty, he almost always attributes blame to others. Only when his self-esteem is particularly high, perhaps through some positive feedback he has engineered, does he accept blame, and only then if it can be seen as a magnanimous gesture.

It was all organized to make Bush look bad, as if he’s the only one to handle natural disasters.

I guess this is a decent article but businessinsider is worse than Huffington as its pro-Obama slant. It sucks now when it could have been a good business site.
