I often thought about just how are they going to get those blue targets in place. I know they can fly them into airports, but past that. Just how safe would anything blue be past the airport gate? Could they get far enough to establish control? I don’t think so. I think they would be hunkered down at those airports.

You may have a point. With Barry's massive, out of control ego he may have convinced himself that he is so wonderfully indispensable that anyone sharing his skin color is going to rise up in anger to defend him.

Meanwhile they are more concerned with "How do I pay the light bill this month?" and "Nets or Lakers?"

No. Those phones are locally purchased without planning of any sort. Of course a list of those phones is available and they could one by one turn them off, but there isn’t a wholesale capability.

Maybe not at the moment, but it would not take long for the cell-provider's software people to create one.

Then again, I would think they would have an app to turn off all phones belonging to a specified bill payer, and the thing that the welfare phones have in common is that they have a single bill payer (the government entity administering the program).

While I agree with you, buffaloguy, I also disagree.

I agree that the Obamaloss will be met with (with a few minor exceptions) near silence.

But TM is talking about the collapse of the government-placation system. That WOULD result in near-universal rioting.

Do you know how the Soviet Union collapsed? It wasn't Yeltsin standing on the top of a tank after the tank shot at a building. It wasn't Lech Walesa, though I salute the man.

It was when the Soviet Union could no longer afford to pay its' people.

All the government workers just walked off the job. Police no longer policed. The military stopped moving. Not one government office was open.

THAT is how a system collapses.
