You can have any kind of weather you want in California, from 134° down to 90° below.

That's a 224° spread. And yet they fret so much over a possible +2° to 3° average over the next century...go figure. ;-)

Yup. The places capable of that spread are but fifteen miles apart: Death Valley and Telescope Peak.
