Bad timing for Democrats: The gross national debt is set to hit $16 trillion Tuesday as the party’s convention gets under way, and Republicans are pouncing.
“This is a grim landmark for the United States,” Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, the top Republican on the Senate Budget Committee, said in a statement. “That’s more government debt per person than Portugal, Italy, Spain or Greece. Yet the president seems strangely unconcerned.”
In an interview on Fox News Sunday, Obama senior campaign adviser David Axelrod said the president’s economic plan would lower deficits by $4 trillion over a decade. But moving too aggressively, he added, could backfire.
"What's necessary is to stabilize the debt and then work from there," he said. "You can't balance the budget in the short term, because to do that would be to ratchet down the economy."
Correction: An earlier version of this post misstated Sessions's position on the Budget Committee.

It's not strange. He's right on schedule. The MSM, the TV arm of Obama's Reelection Committee, proclaims that Obama will be asking for four more years to finish what he started. That's also correct: four more years to FINISH US OFF.

I don’t see Obama escaping the impact of this. For years this debt has been accumulating, but for the first time that I can recall the impact is SO visible to “the man on the street”. There is no way Obama’s media can hide the higher prices that resulted from this spending, and people are angry.
I figured that $16 trillion could cover the entire continental US in about 90 feet and 8 inches of the green stuff.

The Liberal Agenda Media knows that the popular mindset of 40 + % of American voters is as follows:
1.) Both Political Parties do the same thing.
2.) The Democrats are the ONLY political party that really feels the pain of what needs to be done to help the poor.
3.) When in doubt vote for the most liberal Democrat running for office.
4.) When has the Republican Party EVER given me more Free Stuff than the Democrats have given me?
5.) I don’t pay attention to this Debt stuff, as we will never have to pay it back anyway.
6.) Since the rich people have robbed the money from the poor, the rich people can pay off their National Debt, anytime they want to. That is only fair!
7.) BTW, a “Free Market” is a National garage sale with no prices on anything, right?
They also know that the people spending our money with food stamps and welfare are finding it buys a lot less than it did four years ago.
It can’t be concealed (as evidenced by the fact that the Dem mantra is now “it would have been worse”)...
I can’t decide if this is more like the Weimar Republic or the rise of you know who.

They vilify and demonize entire groups of people.
They glorify the government and say the people belong to it.
They openly show hatred for God (theirs is the state)
They openly hate Israel and Jews and free markets
.... oh and they like to call others NAZI’s.
