Julian Castro: A Radical Revealed
breitbart.com ^ | 09-04-20012 | Charles C Johnson

Mayor Julian Castro of San Antonio, who will be giving the keynote address tonight, is, according to some, the next Obama. But while Obama’s radicalism may have escaped the notice of the DNC in 2004, Castro’s views are bit more transparent.

Indeed, he, along with his twin, Joaquin, currently running for Congress, learned their politics on their mother’s knee and in the streets of San Antonio. Their mother, Rosie helped found a radical, anti-white, socialist Chicano party called La Raza Unida (literally “The Race United”) that sought to create a separate country—Aztlan—in the Southwest.

Why is it that the name Castro reminds me of another corrupt San Antonio mayor? What's his name? He liked to have two or three of his honeys on the payroll?

Then Klintoon put him in his cabinet so they could fool around together? He didn't last long at HUD.

Starts with C . . .

What is it with these guys from San Antonio?

The last time I saw some leftist crank described and treated as any "rising star" at a democrat convention it was Obama himself. These Castro dudes are and will be trouble, big trouble. They are moles inside the gates, in the sack with the bad guys over in Mexico and are a promise of nightmares to come if they are not bounced out of and kept out of power.

Interesting that I don’t see a lot of “Fact Checking” on his speech or others by the media from last night.

San Antonio has a City-Manager style of government, Mayor Julian Castro is basically a PR guy for the city. His current ballot plan is to raise city sales taxes to the maximum level allowed by law to layer in new spending programs. He was able to divert a couple hundred million dollars from the Via Transit Authority slated for road repair to a proposed half mile electric train that nobody wants. So now the county commisioners are changing the method of selecting Via Transit board members from being appointed to being elected. If he was the mayor of a state with a democratic governor with a ballooning deficit he wouldn’t be noticed, but by him being able to ride on Rick Perry’s coat-tails and the Eagle-Ford Shale boom, he has the illusion of a mayor who is leading a prosperous city.

Gee if their keynote speaker last night was a Castro, who will be their keynote speaker tonight, a Chavez? And the next night, is there a Putin lined up to rally the comrades? And then they will end it with a call to action from Hussein himself!

Julian, your sign-off line which included the phrase “shared prosperity” told us everything we need to know about you...

Julian Castro = Fidel Castro in a $1,000.00 suit.

Was it just me, or were all the speakers including the “poor” kid whose parents were both “scientists” who could not afford health insurance and who father died of kidney failure — most likely resulting not from no health insurance but from poor lifestyle choices — wearing very expensive suits? I wonder who paid for those duds?

A liberal aging-hippie friend of mine posted this last night:

“”Rising Star,” Julian Castro, bored the s%%% out of me with his DNC speech. Ho hum. And I am a Democrat. There you go.”

Interesting.
