Where's Al Gore? By: Andrew Restuccia September 5, 2012 04:30 AM EDT
CHARLOTTE, N.C. In 2008, Al Gore strode onto the stage at Denvers Invesco Field to a hero's welcome, throwing his support behind Barack Obama to take on the "global climate crisis."
When Obama takes the stage this week, Gore will be nowhere in sight.
He isnt coming to the Democratic National Convention but is spending the week in New York City, anchoring coverage of the event for his network Current TV.
Gore's evolution over the past four years from a central figure in the Democratic Party to a no-show at its biggest event matches what has happened to the issue of climate change itself, which moved to the sidelines alongside its chief crusader, environmentalists and some Democrats say.
Its not like Gore hasnt noticed and his frustration with Obama has been on display. Hes leveled criticism at Obama for abandoning the push for a climate change bill. He accused him of failing to use the bully pulpit to spread the word about the dangers of rising global temperatures. And he faulted Obama for putting off tough new smog regulations.
On the other hand, Gore has also offered some defense of Obamas record and says that I would fear for the future of our environmental policy if Mitt Romney wins the election.

Living the Dream !!!!
I think he’s trying to get some massage girl to rub his Bill Clinton.
I thought that I had detected a severe lack of crazed sex-poodles at this DNC convention
Sitting on an iceberg...
Algore is just another honky cracka. They don’t need his type at the DNC convention.
They were afraid that if al showed up there’d be a blizzard.
He has been relegated to the ash heap of irrelevance. :-)
He wasn’t invited.
Probably more like the snowheap of irrelevance. Not even ManBearPig to save him.
I wonder what colour the sky is in Al Gores world?
Hes lied and deceived so many people, and for so often over this past decade that hes actually become somewhat delusional and is starting to believe in his own falsehoods. Now even his own party is starting to ignore his rants and ravings. The good news for Al is that there are enough people out there with turnips for brains wholl gladly follow and fund him regardless of whatever truths are exposed about the man and his shysterism of the Global Warming/Climate Change myth.
Its good to be Al regardless, cause the money just keeps a comen on in.
I would have loved to see him slip into his black preacher personna. At this point he’s probably even too nuts for the DNC to take the risk. Isn’t it also about time for John Kerry to report for duty?
Where’s Owl Gore ?
He should be in a mental insitution or federal prision for his Global Warming scam
Hopefully floating on a piece of ice with a large, hungry polar bear.
Home, still muttering to himself that he won the popular vote.
Al is mad because LOSING 25 BILLION in the GREEN LOAN PROGRAM under obama is not nearly enough to halt the AGW coming disaster. We should have lost at least 100 billion to show we are serious.
He’s locked up in Bidens trailer that the secret service lost for a few hours.
He wanted to erase that so threw himself into Global Warming.
Now the new Al Gore stereotype is that picture of the fat guy glowing hot air all over the globe.
(I really believe that he probably turned down a DNC invite because he didn't want to remind any fat-wallet viewers that he's a prime target for suing.)
