Organizers said in a conference call with reporters that they will encourage those who can no longer attend to go to watch parties in their area and to participate in the call, which President Obama will do Thursday. There are no plans for the president to address them in person.

That’s for all the drivers of the empty buses that won’t be moving in the Union Cattle to fill the stadium.

They KNOW, they KNEW if they cancelled that opposition would make much hay from this. Why? It is because they were nowhere near confident they could fill even 1/3 of the stadium. And, they just couldn’t have the Messiah speaking to a virtually empty stadium.
So they are content to take the barbs and retort back with the same sorts of excuses their dear leader is so fond of giving.

The National Wheather Service is issuing this important Wheather Advisery. Please adjust your schedule accordingly.

Gail force hot air has formed a topical depression over Charolette, North Carolina. At this point in time, forcast models are predicting pockets of escaping stagnant back room air broken up by swirling masses of bitter angst.
By Thursday evening local time, Charolette can expect a considerable amount of moisture on the foreheads of officials at the Democrat National Convention. Expected appearances by Leftist players throughout the region have vaporized. Attendence at Bank of America Stadium could be deep under water by Thursday evening.
The National Wheather Service is now issuing an Inclement Wheather Warning. Plans for one outdoor event should be canceled immediately. Failing to do so could result in a flood of embarrassment.
Any busing plans to or from BofA Stadium should be re-evaluated.
Most Democrats should remain in their homes and wait for further alerts, unless directed to do otherwise.
President Obama has declared BofA Stadium a disaster area, and has made funds available to compensate owners who were monetarily damaged.
The Presidential Press Secretary has made public this press release: In excess of 55 hours before Tropical Depression Obama was to strike Bank of America Stadium in Charolette, we have activated our national disaster plan. Plans for Bank of America Stadium have been cancelled. Democrats who had tickets, and are thus victimized, are being urged to go to Warner Cable Arena, for temporary housing. A limited number of empty chairs are still available. Those who can't make it to the stadium, should remain in their homes, and think about how they can bail water for the best president our nation has ever had.
More information will be released as this administraton's needs warrant.

POTUS will do conference call with out-of-luck ticket-holdersThat shouldn't take long. He could take a few seconds away from his mirror to call the couple. It don't think that's too much to ask.

What B.S. Is he going to have a conference call with the ticket holders of the seats they couldn’t fill?

I can’t wait to see the expected -vs- actual economic activity in the Charlotte, NC area after this is done.
I was recently working in Charlotte, and we had to move the work for this week to someplace else because ALL the hotels were booked solid- until about 2 months ago when we started getting calls that our usual rooms would be available.

A conference call. How special.
To me, this decision looks like ineptness squared. So what, if the stadium was only half filled? Distribute the people around and it doesnt look terribly obvious. But now theyre going to piss of a very large number of their most enthusiastic supporters who went to a lot of trouble to make travel plans to see The One. Not to mention the endless negative stories that will be generated by this decision, ranging from gazillions of human interest interviews with disappointed ticket holders, to the stupidness of it all when it turns out it doesnt rain or lightening Thursday evening.
Such bad decision making might even make a few leaners ponder whether this is indicative of the way the Rats have been governing all along and would continue to govern if they remain in power.
Chance of rain still at 30% for “uptown” Charlotte.
