Not 2008: Big Drop in Viewers for Day One of Dem Convention (400,000 fewer than Ann Romney's speech)

"The headline speakers last night in Charlotte were a mayor nobody has heard of and First Lady Michelle Obama. Last night and this morning, the media are tripping over each other to heap praise on Mrs. Obama's speech, which was mostly a rehash of her speech in 2008, albeit with newly remembered money struggles. She gave a strong performance, but, unfortunately for the Democrats, not many people saw it. Overall, the speech attracted around 11 million viewers on the three broadcast networks. That's about 400,000 fewer viewers than watched Ann Romney's speech. But, the really bad news for Obama is the massive drop in viewers from 2008."

One can see the need to change their venue to a smaller tent.

Frankly, I don’t think anyone is interested in spending a lot of time watching these conventions - at least this year. People pretty much have their minds made up, so unless one enjoys watching this stuff for “fun”, there’s simply no point.

I guess I’ll need a new gauge showing below empty. That would fit in nicely with his empty chair.

I’m confused. There’s another report posted here that says viewership is up above the RNC and that MSNBC actually topped FOX. They reported the numbers as 22 million or so.....

For all the hype and lead-in ranted by the Obamabot media, Michelle Obama and Ann Romney were pretty close in TV viewership numbers overall. Of course, with Michelle Obama being the FLOTUS, and according to the Obamabot media, the most popular person in the entire country, she should have easily overdrawn Ann Romney, which she did not do. The TV viewership numbers tonight, even with the Bill Clinton rant, will not be good!! The football game, tonight, between the NY Giants & Dallas Cowboys will diminish overall convention viewing activity.

Add to that......the cancelled Obama speech at the football stadium, tomorrow evening, then moved to a tiny venue of a basketball arena does not help either. Remember the nutcase Obamabot, Kool-Aid drinkers, first scheduled the Obama acceptance speech at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, 200,000 seats. So....from 200,000 to 74,000 to 18,000, Obama ain’t most the popular item on the block among the Democrat fateful, For Obama & Michelle, toast maybe a more applicable word to describe them. And...to boot folks, Weather is not the problem!!!

Maybe.....Bill Clinton will nominate his wife, Hillary Clinton, tonight and bring a needed sigh of relief, momentarily, to a demoralized Democrat Party!!!! The truth hurts, but....the truth is still the truth!!! Obama, IMHO, is not only toast, but burned toast....and so is the Democrat Party!!!

Wait until tonight with the Football game. They may get one or two people watching.
