Posted on 09/05/2012 5:10:01 PM PDT by Joseph Harrolds
Dianne Feinstein announced Wednesday that shes re-entering the battle over gun control during her keynote speech to the California delegates to the Democratic National Convention.
Feinstein was president of the San Franciscos Board of Supervisors on what she calls that citys day of infamy in 1978, when a former colleague shot and killed Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone. Since then, Senator Feinstein has been one of the most vocal proponents of gun control on Capitol Hill.
She promised California delegates shed return to Congress to reintroduce an updated assault weapons bill.
At the delegates' breakfast, she said that, "Weapons of war do not belong on our streets, in our classrooms, in our schools or in our movie theatres."
Feinstein co-sponsored an assault weapons ban signed into law in 1994, which expired 10 years later.
>>Do they want to lose?<<
Apparently. Hey difi, have at it. Remind everyone that democrats are the party of gun-grabbers.
No God, no Jews, No Guns.....and as many abortions, condoms and food stamps as you want......the new democrat platform.
Anything that is not a bolt action will be considered an assault weapon.
I don’t know. There are those here on FR who are content with sitting this one out or voting 3rd party because Romney wasn’t their choice.
This is what they have to look forward to.
But there are no consequences to their decision.......amirite?
Here *it* comes, Ping.
Maybe she’ll include those guns that make that nasty ch-ch sound, when you slide the bolt.
“Assault” rifles. You know, as opposed to love pat rifles.
Diane carries a pistol in her purse. Goose meet gander.
Re-introduce that “assault weapons ban”....it’s dead on arrival.
Yes, and bolt actions will be considered sniper rifles.
” No God, no Jews, No Guns.....and as many abortions, condoms and food stamps as you want......the new democrat platform.”
No, I think we’re going back to smooth-bore muzzle loaders. The ones with string tied to the trivet to lower a candle into your powder.
It wouldn’t surprise me to hear she was in office on the real “Day of Infamy,” Dec. 7, 1941.
What the heck is a trivet? I meant trigger.
BAN CARS NOW!!!
The entire freakshow known as the DNC should serve notice of what another 4 years of Obama would look like.
Vote Romney. It's SELF-DEFENSE.
Doesn’t Diane Feinstein have a concealed weapon’s permit - whereas no one else in CA (unless well connected) can get one?
Go for it Fineswine! Some people never learn.
Senator Feinstein is a staunch gun control advocate. Despite her stance, in the 1970s, she obtained a concealed firearms carry permit, and carried a handgun with her. A CCW permit was then rare in California, and was the only such permit in San Francisco. At the time, she was the target of a terrorist group that had shot out all the windows in her home. She no longer carries a gun.
The bastards sure are laying it out: abortion, gun control, faggotry, socialism, anti-Israel ...
Go for it. It will be so nice for the Senate to finally be under the control of the R's.
That's what you have to look forward to.
Molon labe Dianne!
Molon labe Dianne!
Diane and her take on guns, is precisely the Democrat’s take on racism and Republicans.
When I was a child, probably around ten, I heard the idea that when you point at someone, three of your fingers are actually pointing back at yourself. I always thought that was a lame point, but in the instance of modern day Democrats, there’s really no better way to express what is actually taking place.
Over one hundred and fifty years of the Democrats despicable behavior, is being placed on the backs of the party who opposed them at every step of the racist path they were walking down during this period in our history.
And it continues to this very day.
Love it. ;^)
His position has “evolved.”
Romney Once Supported Assault Weapons Ban
Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said, As he has repeatedly said, Gov. Romney believes that the best way to prevent gun violence is to vigorously enforce our laws.
As the Journal reported last year, the change began in 2005. In May of that year, Mr. Romney declared a Right to Bear Arms Day, and the governors top aides began meeting almost monthly with the Gun Owners Action League. Mr. Romney also signed legislation cutting some red tape detested by gun owners in November 2005, and less than a year later he became a member of the National Rifle Association.
This is what they have to look forward to.
But there are no consequences to their decision.......amirite?”
Romney sides with DiFi on this. He would be more than happy to sign such legislation ... just like he did in Mass.
you just introduce your bill honey. It will go nowhere and help us more than you.
If you think Romney supports this you need your head examined.
Get it out of your backside son!
Get used to it. He's anti-gun.
The phrase “snowball’s chance in h*ll” comes to mind.
The Democrats have no support whatsoever with (sane) gun owners. Feinstein has decided to hit rock bottom and start digging.
She’s full of shit. She ain’t introducing nothing.
At the delegates’ breakfast, she said that, “Weapons of war do not belong on our streets, in our classrooms, in our schools or in our movie theatres.”
SURE they do. And if more of them were around, lunatics like the guy in Auburn would have been blasted away long before he accomplished what he set out to do.
No. Idiots like Diane Frankenfeinstein don’t belong in Congress. Only a cesspool of homosexual perverts like San Fagcisco could possibly elect her and her monstrous cohort - Nancy Pelosi - the Bride of Frankenfurter.
What a platform!
“If you think Romney supports this you need your head examined.”
What do you mean??? He (Romney) ALREADY has supported similar legislation ... and signed it into law in Mass. Where am I wrong on pointing this out?
Watch what he does (or has done), not what he says.
Who ever wins in Nov., Gun Owners in this country are screwed.
A Republican Congress....the House and hopefully the Senate....will never send a gun ban bill to Romney. Won’t happen.
If, however, the rats somehow manage to regain control of Congress (God forbid) while Romney is president, then I would worry.
the NRA backs Romney............enough said.
