A major controversy erupted on the floor of the Democratic National Convention Wednesday surrounding God and Jerusalem inside the Party's platform.
Hours later, DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz gave CNN an absolutely ridiculous explanation for what transpired resulting in her being mocked for her "alternate reality" by numerous commentators including Anderson Cooper and John King (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
CNN White House correspondent Brianna Keilar, on the floor of the convention with Wasserman Schultz, asked about the process of changing the platform, the three voice votes, and the discord.
Wasserman Schultz amazingly replied, There wasn't any discord.
Keilar responded that it seemed like people on the floor didnt feel it was a two-thirds vote.
Wasserman Schultz again amazingly replied, It absolutely was two-thirds.
Continuing to press, Keilar noted that this seemed to be a change in policy from yesterday by the Obama campaign because they made it clear Tuesday that they stood by the platform with the controversial language regarding Jerusalem and the word God left out.
No, no, it's not actually, Wasserman Schultz again amazingly replied.
At the end of the interview, the segment switched back to CNNs booth at the convention where Anderson Cooper said, I just got to go to the panel with this. I mean, Debbie Wasserman Schultz said it wasnt a change of language, there was no discord that we saw, and it was a two-thirds vote.
And it was a technical oversight, added David Gergen.
I mean, thats an alternate universe, replied Cooper.
Mr. Praline: Um...now look...now look, mate, I’ve definitely ‘ad enough of this. That parrot is definitely deceased, and when I purchased it not ‘alf an hour ago, you assured me that its total lack of movement was due to it bein’ tired and shagged out following a prolonged squawk.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz : Well, he’s...he’s, ah...probably pining for the fjords.
Mr. Praline: PININ’ for the FJORDS?!?!?!? What kind of talk is that?, look, why did he fall flat on his back the moment I got ‘im home?
Debbie Wasserman Schultz: The Norwegian Blue prefers keepin’ on it’s back! Remarkable bird, id’nit, squire? Lovely plumage!
Why don’t they call her what she is-—>LIAR!
She thinks anyone is going to believe that bilge?
Look, we’ve ALWAYS been at war with Eastasia.
That’s the bottom line here. Now hurry and get ready because the 2 min. Hate is about to get started.
The discord caused a short lockout!
Okay.
Time for the ambulance and a 72 hr pysch.
Dentention. Til the DNC is over. Then a nice room next to Jesse Jackson Jr
You mean 2 minutes of non-hate? That’s all they get on a normal day.
These people are amazingly desperate. I don't know who's worse, Wasserman Schultz or Carney. But they're both rank liars.
Very rarely do the inhabitants of an alternate universe see theirs for the unreality it is... a momentary glimpse for Coop, then back to his alternate reality.
If they has 2 hate free min a day they might actually have hope. I posted this on another Debbie thread but I think it applies here to help people understand why Dem/Libs do what they do.
************
To understand Dem/Libs, one needs to accept the evidence before their eyes and logical reasoning.
First, Morality requires belief in something greater than ones self on which to base it on. Because without that, morality is as changeable as any other personal decision. What is the functional moral difference between deciding to wear blue sox or murder puppies when you can simply say Today murdering puppies is OK?
There is none.
Since Dems answer to no one or nothing greater than their wants, all things are possible and all things are acceptable. I like quoting an Afghan Whigs lyric that sums this mindset up perfectly...A lie? The truth? Which one shall I use?
And once you wrap your head around that, the entire liberal agenda from global warming to chickenhawk homosexuality becomes self evident.
Most people do not want to accept this. They think all people have good in them. But good is a moral reality. And for a person that by definition accepts no morality outside the situational, there can be no good in them.
I was listening to this on XM and couldn’t believe the reaction of the CNN common taters. Even a statement like, “Nothing to see here, move along.”, brought laughs from all of them. Laughing at the DNC Chair is not in the usual CNN playbook. I suppose even CNN types can believe their own lying ears.
We have a room with her name on it in KS..... Osawatomie State Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Osawatomie, KS

I agree.
My theory is that we are not basically good, by nature we are selfish and horrible. Thankfully we have parents who want us to behave and a society (in the old days) that expected us to be law abiding etc etc
Civilization rose up when humans were able to quell their sin nature. As long as we fight that dark side, we can keep our civilization.
Lately, it’s looking bleak.
this platform is no more. It has ceased to be.
I didn't know my eyes and ears were so defective. I'm glad DWS cleared that up.
It has brought down the curtain and joined the choir invisible ;^)
The comment closest to the truth in the entire video was that “God and Jerusalem were booed on the floor of the democrat convention.”
bump
Even the gay liberals are throwing these folks under the bus, while Hillary hides out as far away as she can get from the convention.
Hillary sees that she has a better shot after 4 years of Romney than she would after 4 more years of Hussein.
A Pathological Liar of the first degree if there is such a thing...if there isn’t there should be in order to describe this crazy woman.
“This is not the mayonnaise you’re looking for.”
Has CNN commented on Clinton’s impeachment and disbarment for his multiple lies to a court and to a grand jury, or his extramarital “affair” with an intern young enough to be his daughter and his masturbating in the Oval Office sink?
I’m sure they’ll get to all that.
lol
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide you lyin' eyes
It is my unshakable belief that denial on the part of both Libs and Conservatives is the root of all this. Libs deny anything that interferes with their wants/urges and the rest deny that this is so.
If the genpub merely stopped ignoring the truths their eyes see and their ears hear, we’d be well into ‘recovery’. But the “Oh no! it’s not really that way’ BS people feed themselves to avoid the ugly truth that liberals, whether they are friends, relatives or people on TV are nothing but feral animals, ensures we are done for.
Liberals ARE feral animals. They prove it daily through their actions. I could go on for days with examples from demanding homos be allowed to infect the blood supply to adult women screaming on TV for the ‘right’ to murder unborn children. But we all know them. More people just need to call them what they are and stop empowering them with their denial of reality.
/Rant ;)
Suicide would be such an easier and better option for Democrats than trying to logically defend leftist insanity.
Yep. When Planned Parenthood passes out sex booklets to kids telling them that their HIV status is no ones business, not even their sex partner... red flags SHOULD go up.
Never was a platform. Just planks not nailed together with anything.
Gee I wonder why they stopped teaching logic and deductive reasoning in school and substituted ‘diversity training.
I wonder why the pushed for “Agenda 21” calls for over 90% reduction in global population.
But sarcasm aside people should take time connecting the dots across all these liberal ‘progoms’ and see the forrest for the trees.
There is a reason these people do what they do. And it all comes back to their ‘wants’. Nothing else matters. Not science, not morality, not the lives of anyone but themselves.
I strongly recommend people read State of Fear by Michael Chrichton. It was a work of fiction based very much on facts. And after they do, they should ask themselves if libs really are just whacked out hippies.
They truly are a culture of death.
By the way, just in case people think I made that booklet up... here is the link to it on the International Planned Parenthood Federations’ own website:

"Wasserman Schultz again amazingly replied, It absolutely was two-thirds.
DWS has turned into Nathan Thurm before our very eyes:
Sad that you believe that to be man's innate and native state. I believe the exact opposite, and that evil is an aberration.
Not an argument. You're welcome to your viewpoint.
This the fourth time CNN has been caught practicing real actual journalism in the last month-and-a-half.
What gives?
>>It has brought down the curtain and joined the choir invisible ;^)<<
Why does everyone get that wrong? It is “the choir in the vestibule.”
But a great bit nonetheless...
Excellent points. I think this Demon convention is opening eyes. Apparently snippets of the depravity, insane hatred and insanity are even in the regular news.
Should have added: The Dem(ons) mask is coming off. Only the real hardcores will be able to stay on board with them.
[[resulting in her being mocked for her “alternate reality” by numerous commentators including Anderson Cooper]]
Wow! If copper even mocked one of his own, then it must have been really really bad- I wouldn’t know, because I can’t stand listenign to the woman myself- she makes me want to vomit blood— but evidently she must have been especially assinine today
It's not a matter of belief - it's a matter of effect.
“Most people do not want to accept this. They think all people have good in them. But good is a moral reality. And for a person that by definition accepts no morality outside the situational, there can be no good in them.”
This truth bears repeating
They all lie so well, it’s SCARY.
“She thinks anyone is going to believe that bilge?”
I think that Hannity may have had a shot of the teleprompter telling the “moderator” to say that the ayes had it. Or perhaps, it was for all the “hearing impaired” who are at the convention.
Sadly, some will. But they're the folks who are going to vote for Obama anyway.
