Arizona authorities can now enforce the most contentious part of state's immigration law

PHOENIX — A federal judge ruled Wednesday that Arizona authorities can enforce the most contentious section of the state's immigration law, which critics have dubbed the "show me your papers" provision.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton clears the way for police to carry out the requirement that officers, while enforcing other laws, question the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally.

The provision has been at the center of a two-year legal battle that resulted in a U.S. Supreme Court decision in June upholding the requirement, ruling against the Obama administration, which filed the initial challenge.

But...But...But..

Wasn’t this the Roberts decision that most on this site said was not in line with the constitution???

Arizona was exactly in line with the constitution...

Immigration and Naturalization are powers specifically granted to the feds...

Arizona wrote it’s own immigration law in direct violation of the constitution..

However, the feds cannot interfere with local law enforcement, and that part was upheld..

Roberts is a federalist, not a conservative...

For even more fun, take a close look at the fubocare ruling closely and see how many of the libs “sledgehammers” he took away from them..

the old bag ginsberg was PISSED about that ruling..

Now, if an old communist was angered by his ruling ya gotta wonder... why???
