A U.S. judge ruled on Wednesday that a controversial Arizona "show-your-papers" immigration provision that has been upheld by the Supreme Court may go into effect, but in a split ruling blocked another measure making it a crime to harbor illegal immigrants.

The measure that was upheld, part of a broader law to combat illegal immigration in the state bordering Mexico, home to an estimated 360,000 undocumented immigrants, requires police to check the immigration status of people they stop and suspect are in the country illegally.

That means the First Presbyterian Church of Billings can keep it’s Sanctuary sign.

BTW, Profiling is not an illegal action but a necessary tool of human existence.

"American Greed" the excellent CNBC cable series, showcased "Financial Plus" in which two Mexicans targeted Mexican immigrants in a fake investment scam to "invest home equity."

The two Mexicans shysters colluded with a latino BofA insider----Donny Gonzales---to falsify bank documents.

Father and son shysters---Juan and Harold Rangel---- ran Spanish language ads in Cali--and got $35 million from about 500 latino homeowners----hamburger flippers, lawn mowers, and such, who cannot even speak English.

One latino woman had $200,000 to invest (that she lost to the Mexican shysters).

Where do these "impoverished" latinos get all this money to invest?

The answer is they too are scamming---they are scamming the US govt and stealing from taxpayers.

American taxpayers working for a living are slaving to pay taxes and household expenses----but these latinos are pouring over the border to rig the system for themselves---riding the US gravy train under multiple fraudulent identities.

And jerks like Obama are aiding and abetting these frauds.

Is this not the section the Judge upheld?

Let me get this straight, A U.S judge has allowed a Supreme court decision to go into effect?

Article : "but in a split ruling blocked another measure making it a crime to harbor illegal immigrants"

So the judge made it illegal for the state to make it a crime to be in violation of federal law.

I'm guessing that the judge's rationale is that only the Feds may enforce (or decline to enforce) this provision.

I was thinking the same thing. How many bites at the apple does the opposition get? As many as it takes to win? I wasn't aware that our system worked like that.

If I were a legal resident alien, I think I’d just pull out proof of my right to be here along with my ID upon first contact, if only to avoid the hassle.

“How many bites at the apple does the opposition get? As many as it takes to win? I wasn’t aware that our system worked like that. “

It’s been working that way for quite some time. When Clinton was in office, congress did it all the time. Remember the Brady bill? It couldn’t get through the senate. So the night before Thanksgiving break, Dole called a ‘quorum. He, Mark Hatfield and 2 democrat senators passed it.

That’s the Congress. They have different rules. In Congress you get as many bites at the apple as you can muster while your party remains in power. But in law once a higher court has ruled the lower courts don’t get another bite at the same apple. If they did, there wouldn’t be much point in having courts. You could just re-litigate the same case over and over until you win.

Looks like it’s congress and the courts playing the game. Let’s see that leaves us with the Administration to balance the power....LMAO!

According to Stand With Arizona, now that Arizona law enforcement is free to stop and check immigration status, there will likely be another large wave of illegal immigrants fleeing the state as the violent criminals seek and Obamnesty applicants seek a friendlier state willing to turn a blind-eye to their status.

But this is not just about the redistribution of illegal immigrants throughout the United States.

If only it were that simple, because this ruling has potentially huge implications on the elections.

The Obamacrats will not be able to rely on as much voter fraud in any state cracking down on illegal immigration and anything goes voting practices.
