BELLEVUE, Wash. — Online travel company Expedia.com on Tuesday announced its support for marriage equality and the efforts to approve Referendum 74 in Washington state, November ballot initiative asking voters to approve or reject the state’s new marriage equality law.
Supporting the ballot measure “is a natural extension of our ongoing commitment to the LGBT community,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, President and CEO of Expedia Inc., in a statement:

Expedia, based in Bellevue, Wash., was founded in 1996 by Microsoft and later spun off as a multi-billion dollar company — its portfolio consists of several online travel brands, including Expedia.com, Hotels.com, and Hotwire.com.
Washington United for Marriage (WUM), the broad coalition working to defend the state’s marriage law, announced Wednesday that more than 5,000 new donors helped raise $1.758 million during the month of August, raising the total campaign treasury to $7.290 million.
A friend of mine once insisted on booking a Vegas trip through Expredia. Turned out our confirmations were worthless. Neither the airline nor the hotel had a record of our reservations. Expedia wouldn't make it right. We wound up forkkng over about $800 round trip for the flight and got a room at the Excalibur for a reason.able rate. That was it. No more Expedia for me.

I must now boycott Expedia as they advocate Sodomite Marriage and since almost every domestic airline advocates Sodomite Marriage, I must also boycott all the airlines.
I could drive on my next trip, but many oil companies provide domestic partner benefits and cannot buy gas.
I can't even walk to my next vacation as the companies that sold me my shoes offer domestic partner benefits.
If only the entire 98% didn't like what the 2% was doing. Unfortunately a good chunk of that 98% has been brainwashed (and it seems the majority of girls, although I never knew why).
Well its obvious that the agenda is all-pervasive and impossible to distance oneself from, even via world travel. It’s global.
No, it wasn’t pressure from some homosexual group (not gay). They ARE homosexual. I guarantee most all of these big corporations are run by queers these days. They’ve infiltrated most all big companies and institutions.

If I were a black member of society, I'd be furious over how the homosexuals are minimizing the blacks past into an equivalent of a vile sex act.
This is why business believe they have to cave to the homosexuals. If blacks have a right to be be equal because of their race, homosexuals have a right to be equal because they want kinky sex. The two are exactly the same to a homosexual.
$7.3 MILLION raised, for a single state. Incredible. And on our side, we have a Koch brother endorsing “gay marriage” now too, and a billionaire GOP fundraiser who bribed NY Senators to switch their votes and pass it in NY, is putting tens of millions into pushing it nationwide, just because his son is a homo. Is there any more doubt that we have lost this issue?

I guess that means Expedia should see an uptick in travel packages to San Francisco, Key West and Fire Island.

What I don’t get is somehow every time someone either supports the gay lifestyle or is part of the gay lifestyle there has to be a major announcement and a party to follow.
My sister in law “came out” last week. Everyone had to know. Why? She could just have easily showed up to whatever family function she was bringing her friend to and said, “this is my friend, Butch.”
Yes, this was the wedge they drove in, the crux of the “civil rights” fight for “equality”. It only worked because of the “born that way” argument, even though there’s no proof of it.
Yes, it seems to be lost. The only hope is that global and national events happen which are so radically transforming that the movement is set back decades. Has happened before in history (such as the Civil War setting back the woman’s rights movement). Time will tell...

First, Scott, I appreciate all of your postings. I don’t post much myself, but it’s important to not forget the social part of conservatism, which is as essential as the fiscal part. Thank you for all your work and research.
Second, you’re right, the best way to deal with certain folks is to ignore them. However when someone comes into your fold pretending to be “one of the gang,” but really is just making fun of you, it’s best to let them know that their game is up.
Besides, there are lurkers/posters on this site who truly believe that’s how extremely irrational social conservatives are.
