The European (and increasingly Liberal American) approach to so-called “hate speech” will destroy free speech. You do not have a right not to be offended by someone else’s speech. Our First Amendment jurisprudence is the best — controversial speech should only be outlawed if it is a clear and present danger, etc.
Once you divide ‘speech’ into more than one category, it is very easy to destroy the half that is considered ‘bad’.
Divide it yet again and the process gets easier.............
