Planned Parenthood Prez: Without Birth Control 'Few Women Had Opportunity to Finish School' By Terence P. Jeffrey September 6, 2012

(CNSNews.com) - Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards told the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday that before birth control was legalized in the United States women did not have the opportunity to finish school and did not live long past the age of 50.

"Nearly 100 years ago when Planned Parenthood was founded, birth control was illegal," Richards told the convention. "And as a result, few women had the opportunity to finish school, and we really weren't even expected to live much past the age of 50.

"But times have changed," she said. "Today, we're mothers and we are teachers and scientists and accountants and members of the armed forces. And because of President Barack Obama, more women than ever are serving in the U.S. cabinet and on the United States Supreme Court. We've come so far. We`ve come so far."

However, a study on historical trends in high school graduation rates for American born between 1900 and 1980 done for the National Bureau of Economic Research shows that throughout that period females had a higher graduation rate than males.

Statistics published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention dating back to 1900 indicate that in all periods since then women in the United States have had a longer life expectancy than men.

I think she was thinking of the subset of females with whom she is most familiar, i.e., sluts.

This is a straw man. Nobody is trying ban birth control. The ‘pubs really need to hammer home the difference between trying to ban something and just objecting to making someone else provide it free of charge. College coeds can pay for their own consequence free recreational sex.

No lala woohoo, no pregnancy.

Doesn't ANYONE make their bed and lay in it any more?

God make man with the ability to reason, no wonder God isn't allowed at the DNC any more.

So, I guess my wife walking the stage with our first baby on her hip while receiving her doctorate doesn’t count.

“Nearly 100 years ago when Planned Parenthood was founded, birth control was illegal,” Richards told the convention.

I guess Ma Richards’ lesbian daughter left out one of the reasons Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood: to wipe out the Black race and other “undesirables”. It is unbelievable that this radically race-baiting political party should sing the praises of an organization that closely mirrored the KKK in its objectives.

Heard an interview on Catholic Answers this week (podcast) with a woman who ran an abortion clinic, I urge ALL to listen to it, I learned SO much. For example they distribute second hand cheap condoms knowing that they will probably break, that they prescribe low dose birth control. They tell the girls to take them at the same time every day knowing full well that teenagers won’t remember to do that. They play on the fear factor of the girl, they don’t use the word “mother” or “baby”, it just goes on and on. I wish I could provide a link to this interview. People really need to hear this. The Podcast is called “Behind the Headlines” first hour, September 4, 2012, with Carol Everett (spelling). Do yourselves a favor and listen, you’ll learn alot.

With knowledge comes power.

This is a classic example of the old adage about liars and statistics. The life expectancy at birth for both sexes in 1900 was about 50 years, due to the high levels of infant and child mortality. Most people, men and women, did not graduate high school at that time.

As the article points out, however, historically American women have bettered men in both statistics.

This is a pretty good illustration of how the left gets away with outright lies based on kernels of truth. Think we'll see one of those MSM "fact check" stories about this???

Its absolutely depressing to realize that all of our women are sex crazed nymphos. They obviously have no self control....down to the point that they are worn out and worthless when they reach 50....

....yes...depressing...snif

Guess Planned Parenthood never heard of Margaret Meade, Marie Curie (French, but won the ONLY person to win two Nobel prizes), or these ladies: http://www.ams.org/publications/authors/books/postpub/hmath-34-PioneeringWomen.pdf
Plus, they ignore the fact that very few men “had [an] opportunity to finish school.” College was pretty much limited to the elite until after WWII.
