A powerful television advertisement exposing President Barack Obama’s essential support for infanticide will run during his acceptance speech tonight at the Democratic National Convention.
The Susan B. Anthony List announced that its television ad highlighting President Obamas extreme record on abortion, featuring abortion survivor Melissa Ohden, will air tonight in the Charlotte, North Carolina media market during the timeframe of President Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention. The ad will run on all major networks, costing $42,000.
President Obama and the Democratic Party platform represent a position on abortion so extreme, voters should question the President’s honesty in committing to finding common ground in the last general election, said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser.
She told LifeNews: Opposing the sex selection and post-fetal pain abortion bans voted on in the House of Representatives are minority stances among women and all Americans. Voting four times against measures that would provide equal protection to children accidentally born alive after a failed abortion is a clear minority stance. Requiring Americans to pay for abortion through their taxes is a minority view as well. Where is that ground he is standing? It is uncommon, callous, lonely ground.”
Dannenfelser continued: So committed to every abortion, this President is committed even to the failed ones. Melissas story is the human face of the legislation he rejected four times. He would allow only the abortionist, the one who guaranteed a dead baby, to provide intensive care to the most vulnerable babies imaginable. Why? He explained it would threaten abortion rights generally. This is uncommon heartlessness.
The pro-life women’s leader noted that polling from the Charlotte Lozier Institute found that 77 percent of Americans (80 percent of women) support banning sex-selective abortion. Additionally, recent national polling from NRLC shows that 63 percent of Americans (70 percent of women) support a ban on late-term abortion past the point at which unborn children feel pain.
Last week the ad ran across Missouri as part of a $150,000 television ad campaign to expose President Obamas record on abortion in a state that had recently been at the center of the conversation on abortion.
The ad featuring Melissa Ohden is the first in a series exposing President Obamas extremist record on abortion. The SBA List has additional ads being considered for release in North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
I was aborted, and my body discarded like I didnt exist, Ohden says in the ad. But a nurse heard me crying and cared enough to save my life.
Theres something else you may not know when he was in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama voted to deny basic constitutional protections for babies born alive from a failed abortion. Not once, but four times, Ohden continues. I know that it is by the grace of God I am alive today if only to ask America this question: Is this the kind of leadership that will move us forward? Leadership that would discard the least and the weakest among us?
Ohden talked with LifeNews about the new commercial:
Im pleased to join with the SBA List in the How Will You Answer commercial. I have never personally felt so strongly about an election as I do about this one. We have a great opportunity to make a big difference in our nation and in the lives of the unborn this November. The question isnt about Obamas voting history, we know that. The question is about how each of us will answer the call to make a difference with our votes.
keep that vile POS’s evil views outn there
This is good!
Oh yeah. Romney’s playing hard ball. I love it!
President Molech is not going to be very happy.
The pro abort creeps are filling the comment section with their usual vile hatred. This commercial strikes a deep nerve!
I read a few of the comments. These pro-death “people” are sick.
Powerful ad! Millions of mothers who aborted their babies are going to see this. I wonder what they will think?
Abortion is America’s shame!
$42,000 seems cheap compared to the damage (I hope) it does.
During Zero’s speech. That’s a hoot.
Let the games begin.
This ad is the first in a series highlighting President Obama's extremist record on abortion. The SBA List has additional ads being considered for release in North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin. This week, the SBA List is in the midst of a five state "Women Speak Out: Abortion is Not Health Care" bus tour which has drawn attention to President Obama's extreme record on abortion. The Susan B. Anthony List, and its connected Political Action Committee, the SBA List Candidate Fund, are dedicated to electing candidates and pursuing policies that will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List will emphasize the election, education, promotion, and mobilization of pro-life women.
I think from what I read, it’s only airing in Charlotte, NC. It would be great if it were nationwide.
Romney is not running this ad. ProLifers themselves are doing so.
Well good for them. That is a very courageous woman speaking out. God bless her. Obama needs to be exposed as the pure evil cretin that he he is.
President Molech is not going to be very happy.
And I wonder if the Mom in Chief would agree with the nurse. After all
They are so caring.
Yes, finally the gloves are coming off. They need to run tnis non-stop in all battleground states.
They need to also run non-stop the video of Obama promises in 2008 and 2012 as well.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus is worth than useless. He is not going on the attack. He was mauled by Chris Matthews in Tampa where CM branded the RNC as racist and he simply froze and doesn’t appear quite upto the job.
