Obama revives FDR, but accused Romney's speech of being one that should have been watched in b/w TV

We know the media won't jump on Obama's hypocritical statement that Romney's speech should have been seen on black and white TV, while Obama himself harkens back to FDR and the depression. Romney's team needs to jump on this.

The whole speech was about collectivism. The only thing missing was him repeating “you didn’t build that”.

nothing like Fabian socialists and Third Way ex-Prezzies to invoke FDR and praise the programs that have failed so many and now assure financial ruination if the socialist tide is not turned.

Run with this.

Biden—”When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened,’”

actually, to write back again. i loved b/w tv programs. still do.

Bonanza? Father Knows Best? Leave it to Beaver? I Love Lucy?

The were all moral. they were all Godly. The were chaste and pure.

too bad that rat’s worship on the altar of baal and molech, the altar of ishtar and dianna. and say they believe in no god. they have their gods and they are wicked. just like “allah”.

i watched jesse jackson try to explain that “allah” is just another name for “god”.

my “God” has nothing to do with “allah”. do not understand why any Christian organization would give him the title of “rev”. that goes for al sharpton too.

they should be ashamed.

Blessings, bobo

I hate to be nitpicky, but Bonanza was actually famous for being brought to you in Living Color.

In the black-and-white TV era, Americans were a largely Christian people whose education system actually educated people, and who were culturally alive.

In the color TV era, all that changed, and we became “America Lite”. Here’s how that happened:

Yep....

The first convention broadcast on TV was the 1932 GOP convention where Hoover was renominated.

No. It was designed to be in color and each and every episode was in color.

This came back as an answer to the question: Was Bonanza ever in B&W?

Bonanza was never filmed in black and white. According to The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable TV Shows (a great TV reference book) Bonanza was always in color: "Bonanza premiered on Saturday night in the fall of 1959, and was the first Western to be televised in color." (Page 123 of the Sixth Edition).
I researched and read where the last 14 episodes of season 1 had fallen into the public domain, so you may have a "bootleg" copy.

The first season DVD at Amazon (which they stress as offcial) is in color.

Slow Joe has harbored this delusion for some years now. Here he is with Katie Couric in September 2008:

I loved Bonanza and watched for years.

We lived in a Levittown like suburb in Atlanta where only one neighbor made enough to get a Color TV.

He let us come over one night and we were all surprised to see that Little Joe’s jacket was GREEN! Could have knocked me over with a feather.

10 years later we got our first Color TV (Motorola)

The reason you have b/w episodes of a series that was filmed in color is because at that time there were still some TV stations that only broadcast in b/w — so the 16mm film prints
were produced in color and in b/w for these stations that lacked the color TV capabilities. Your video was sourced from one of those b/w prints

Spot on...I expressed the same sentiment earlier today - even before the FDR revival. Hard to believe He could even fix his mouth to say that on the campaign trail while the DNC featured Kennedy (video), Carter, and Clinton.

From the speech: (bold mine)

And the truth is, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over decades. It'll require common effort, shared responsibility, and the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one.
