For the first time – and in the longest Democratic platform in history, 26,000 words – there was not a single mention of God, the Creator, whom Thomas Jefferson himself, father of the party, proclaimed to be the author of our right to life and liberty.
The convention had approved the new platform, but when a firestorm erupted, a panicked Barack Obama hastily ordered “God” reinstated.
But when the amendment was offered to the convention by its chairman, Antonio Villaraigosa, the idea of restoring the name of God to the platform was hooted, jeered and booed by half the delegates on the floor, who three times howled, “No!”
The omission of God is being called an oversight. But the viral reaction to returning God, even when Obama asked that it be done, testifies that this was no accident. God was deleted deliberately.
This process has been under way for a decade. In the 2004 platform, there were seven references to God. In 2008, one.

It was laughable to hear Obama say that, like Lincoln, he has known the experience of being driven to knees in prayer. Against the backdrop of this convention objecting to any mention of God, it was a strange statement from the president.
Ditto, his quoting scripture in his speech. His audience doesn’t believe in God, and has no knowledge of the Scripture in the first place.

I think that a number of ads can be made of the film clips of the convention voting against putting mention of God in the platform.
What are we supposed to think? If we go with the cover story that God was omitted by accident somehow, what are we to conclude when there were so many opposed to restoring mention of God to the platform?????

One of our prominent local pastors once told a story about sitting on an airplane next to a 20-something year old lady, and he tried to share an illustration from the parable of the prodigal. She didn't know anything about it.

And a president and political party who embrace Marxism cannot tolerate the Holy Name in the public square because reference to God might also bring to mind those pesky commandments given to us by our Creator (Thou Shalt Not Steal, Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness), which are the bulwark of the Judeo-Christian economic principles upon which our formerly successful economy was built.
The RNC needs an ad asking Democrats if their godless party has abandoned them!
Just read a partial transcript of 0bama’s speech last night. At the end he stated:
“But, we keep our eyes fixed on that destined horizon, knowing that PROVIDENCE is with us...”
Any takers on a historical figure who didn’t refer to God when talking about his destiny, but instead used the term “Providence?”
This is the worst political disaster in over a hundred years, and the Republicans and conservatives need to jump all over it in any way they can.
It could result in the Democrats losing a dozen *more* seats in the House than they would have otherwise. It might even sway senate races.
Congressman Colonel Allen West was right out of the chute with a campaign ad about this, but this needs to be taken national.
It needs to be everywhere that the Democrats reject God and are the party of atheism. If a candidate is a Democrat after this, and *stays* a Democrat, they are an atheist!
This could destroy the Democrats for a generation. But the public must know about it, and how bad it is.
Because it is awful. Horrible. It’s almost hard to describe how bad this is, or at least can be, politically.
Even preachers, reverends, priests and rabbis who embrace the Democrats must now be confronted with this, and told, “Either you are a Democrat, or you believe in God. Which is it?”
And if they remain a Democrat, they are no longer a holy man, but a fake.

I am unaware of any in particular; however, “Providnece” has historically implied the guidance of the Deity. I would wager Obama was trying to have it both ways in leaving out “God” but inferencing Him.

Look at transcripts of Adolf Hitler’s statements in various conferences, particularly during the last year of the war and after the failed assassination attempt of July 20, 1944. He never makes reference to God, but always talks of how “Providence” was guiding his destiny.

An American law declares that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital and calls for the United States Embassy there to leave Tel Aviv, where it is now. But it includes a presidential waiver authority, and Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have all used that to forestall the change.

And THIS is what is at the crux of the gay marriage issue, and why RINOs who say, “but what’s really the big issue?” are disastrously wrong: It is not incidental that the 2 views are different; they are two irreconcilable roads.
Especially when it became so obviously apparent that they were putting it back in over the objections of the majority, and were going to do it no matter how their delegates voted (picture of the teleprompter with the 2/3 majority wording written on it before the vote was taken).
