To put it another way, your tax dollars have bought this woman five houses over the last forty-five years.
And now they are setting up a paypal account to cash-in on her "misfortune".

Why does she keep building her homes in the same place?
What’s the definition of insanity: you keep doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result?
To: Haiku Guy
Paypal donations?
So... she didn’t have insurance and chose to live in an area prone to destructive hurricanes anyway?
I suggest she pack up and move inland.

Martinez lost four other homes in the last 50 years Hurricanes Betsy (1965), Juan (1985), George (1998), and Katrina (2005). America's 'Stupidest Woman' Built Five Homes in a Hurricane Zone!

Why does she keep building her homes in the same place? Why do WE keep building her homes in the same place?

YOU SEE THIS????
THIS IS WATER!!!!
WATER FLOODS WHEN YOU LIVE BELOW SEA LEVEL!!!!
YOU NEED TO MOVE!!

Heh.
Like the Japanese guy who was in Hiroshima on business on August 6th, 1945, survived that, then decided he’d better get his butt home.
To Nagasaki.
And he survived that, too.
True story.

America's 'Stupidest Woman' Built Five Homes in a Hurricane Zone! Hey, she got somebody else to build her a new house every ten years, and you're calling her stupid? Her actions make perfect sense. We're the stupid ones.

Little did he know that HE was the one guy we were trying to get.
Drone strikes were a bit less precise waaaay back in 1945.

If she moves to Seattle they would call it an Extratropical cyclone. I knew the Skokomish name for it but I can’t remember it well enough to spell it. Spelling errors are frowned upon here.
To: ThomasThomas
No spelling errors in your last post. Just fyi.

LOL!!
His name was Tsutomu Yamaguchi, and he only died a couple of years ago, in 2010 at the age of 93.
And the drones were not as elegant-looking as they are nowadays either. :)

Time to move to Arizona
But then, her house would probably burn down.
