Hes been busy with more important stuff. Hell get to it when he gets to it, even though (a) he signed a bill just last month setting today as the deadline, and (b) the whole idea of a defense sequester came from Democrats as a poison pill for the GOP in last years debt-ceiling deal.
"One month ago, the PRESIDENT SIGNED the Sequestration Transparency Act, a law that IMPOSED UPON HIM a 30 day deadline to outline what Pentagon spending will be cut. That deadline was last night."
"White House press secretary Jay Carney today said White House officials would hand in their assignment next week."
He's not stupid. He's evil.
Obama’s trying to figure out how to parse the Virginia (battleground) job cuts that are about take take place.
But the Fun Part of this is that defense companies need to give 90 days notice of layoffs and they want to do this before the election in order to meet the Jan 1 deadline. These would be notices of potential layoffs if it isn’t stopped. O wants them to hold off.
Sorry, but this was a very important golf date.
Is this what Clint was talking about.......THE EMPTY CHAIR?
Me Think someone needs to make postcards showing an empty chair, so they can be mailed to Obama and all Democrat campaign sites.
He cut it - and gave it to the Muslim Brotherhood
and once again, no one will say ‘TREASON”
I think the Kenyan actually wants to lose so he can pack his bags and head for that 35 million dollar digs his Chicago chums are working on for his post pres years...and gets him closer to the coasts of his Muzzie pals....and of course he has sugar plum dreams of making the $$$$$$$ like Slick Willie...
The O-Hole in chief (let’s all replce ‘A-hole’ with ‘O-hole....that will really fire up the libs!!) had no intention of meeting this dealine...self-imposed or not. The more he can cut the military the better in his eyes.
There should have been repercussions should he fail to meet the deadline, like automatic cuts to NPR, PBS, Planned parenthood etc etc
This was the deal that the GOP and Bonehead agreed to
They knew Obama was only going to give them B.S. anyhow. So what’s the problem with B.S. that’s a little late?
IIRC, at the time, we were told that the cuts to the other side would essentially destroy Obamacare. What happened to those cuts?
don’t you remember Bohner saying that since its been upheld that the House will go ahead and fund ObamaCare??
Nice of the GOP to conveniently hand their hats to Obama so close to the election.
Republicans were so stupid to agree to the super committee in the first place...and the rats painted the, into a corner. 0bama is immobilized, won’t act. Any resolution on this will take place without him. Parrot of his scorched Earth on his way out the door. I’m thinking as he realizes more and more that he’s out the door in a few short weeks, he’ll actually drag his feet even more, maybe in shock that for perhaps the first time ever, he’s not getting his way and hell become increasingly withdrawn. Heck, I’ve even pondered the prospect of Biden beinG the de facto President for the remainder of the term. I think we are witnessing a slow implosion.
Obama will need that hat to keep his hair from getting mussed up when Mitt mops the floor with him. So why begrudge it.
My employer has lots of DoD contracts. Many of us (myself included) are waiting for the other shoe to drop.
“REPORTS? What reports? We don’t need no stinkin reports.”
Obummer has missed a lot of things and what make anyone think these reports are any different?
VOTE ROMENY & RYAN on Nov. 6th.
Thanks for correcting my post. You make it very clear what’s going on here. This is also why O is telling everyone to vote Early — under his breath “before you get your layoff notice.”
I keep close tabs on my development staff, burn rates and tasking/coverage in addition to my technical work. Thankfully, I have some very competent co-workers doing the business development and day to day project management. My co-workers are looking really stressed as they work to keep the customer happy and staff fully engaged. The stress has nothing to do with the difficulty of the tasking. The concern is the budget axe swinging indiscriminantly with no thought for the consequences.
Hi - On Drudge today Monday 4:15 Pacific — Defense Contracts confirm layoff notices before election.
