Queens man dies after attacking kickboxing gas-station clerk

He picked the wrong guy to mess with.

A drunken Queens man went berserk after he couldn’t get an ATM to work at a gas station early yesterday and was killed when he turned his rage to the attendant — a former competitive kickboxer.

“I feel bad. I didn’t mean for the guy to die. He called me a Taliban,” said Jasjeet Walia, who was released from custody last night after being grilled by cops all day.

“I feel like throwing up. I’m having a bad headache,” said Walia, an amateur kickboxer for seven years in his native Mumbai.

Arzeno had just collected a bundle of cash from a police-brutality suit against the NYPD.

But it’s not because of race as you so defiantly assume. For example, i’m very pleased with the nice guy from Mumbai. I’d welcome him as a neighbor or friend any day.

More of some cultures, less of others.
And my other small minded rule is that if you come here, you may bring your music, food, literature, and holidays. But you must leave all the old world squabbles at home. I could give a flying fornication what injustice occurred in Kosovo in 1488, or why hutus hate the tutsis. That doesnt belong in America.
Oh, and you have to agree that your women are fair game.
See?? I’m a reasonable fella.

Sikhs are also people who have honor killed their daughters in Britain and blew up Air India Flight 182 off the coast of Ireland, killing 329 people.

Not to mention assassinating the prime minister of India.

Now I would really like to know how the trained martial artist restarts a heart that is undergoing commotio cordis, v-fib, most times.

It would save so much wasted time with defibrillators, sticking on the pads and analyzing rhythm.

Criminal gangs in Vancouver too. And the owners of a company where my husband used to work, who ran it as an H1-B funnel until it tanked.

Yeah, there are clean, honest, decent Sikhs, very many of them.

They just don’t qualify as a model minority in my mind.

No subgroup of Homo sapiens could fit the qualification you ask. Fallenness means no such thing exists. And so what. Sikhs as a whole rival most other minority groups of the USA for decency. Anyhow. Did this fellow misbehave by kicking his assailant to death. Even the cops concluded no.

Well the precordial thump known to Western medicine is a version of this. What would be a very interesting story is how this was ever researched by the martial artists. Did they have persons that they considered low lifes to experiment upon? Killing then reviving?

Jasjeet Walia. Oh dear, a Sikh kickboxer. And Mumbai is pretty big on kickboxing, so if he was competitive...

Ouch.

Something is odd here. Here is a nearly identical article, except that the kickboxer’s name is given as “Jesse Singh” (still a Sikh name).

A big THANK YOU from this Floridian to Jasjeet Walia for taking out the trash, so we in Florida would not be obligated!
My hope is Fat Al and Jesse Jester don’t show up and try to Zimmerman Jasjeet.

Arzeno is no stranger to law enforcement. In 2006, he claimed police brutality and got a settlement from the NYPD after he was busted by undercover cops outside a Flushing apartment building.

The Queens district attorney’s office said Arzeno was subdued after he ran from cops who were trying to arrest him for selling coke to an undercover officer on school grounds.

Arzeno eventually pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug possession and got three years’ probation.

Martial arts skill is one weapon the feds can’t confiscate.

You never know. Our gummit searches high and low.

I'm trying to figure how they'll make feet illegal.

Here's a quick Google search of "Martial Arts Self-Defense and Law" You can easily tailor the search to better fit a particular state or situation.

It's a good idea for students and instructors to be somewhat familiar with criminal and tort law that might apply to their use of force, and their teaching.

For instructors, there is a possibility of liability for teaching, or continuing to teach, someone who has demonstrated a propensity for abusing their knowledge. This is not simply theoretical. Martial Arts attracts the best and worst of characters.

The attendant stopped defending himself when he chased the perp onto the street and continued beating him. There will be a civil suit for certain and I bet criminal charges against the attendant as well. Likely manslaughter.

I am not saying that. Simply that it is prudent to be aware of the need for witnesses, whether you are using a gun, an edged weapon, impact weapon, or just your two hands. I’d rather go to prison than get killed, but I much prefer not having to go through any of them. I believe proper reality-based gun courses also say something similar to what I said (having witnesses on your side).

Candy shops and take your do ... Lol - never heard of that one. Hilarious. I take it you practice some art/system? A mix of JKD concepts, XingYi and some Krav here. You? On the RyuKyu ...is that the George Dillman stuff? I’ve heard both positive and negative stuff about that. The positive is that it absolutely works. The negative is that in a real fight, with adrenalin flow and the shock of the attack, you will be limited to gross motor movements and not the finely tuned movements required to attack specific points that may be the size of an enlarged quarter. That in a real situation it may be quite hard to get some of the points taught. Which is why I like XingYi for instance - extremely simple and to the point, and the only pressure attacks are to points that are quite easy to get (eyes, throat, vagus nerve on the side of the neck, clavicle notch). What do you think?

I plead ignorance of what you described. But the accusation about the Air India Flight 182, where did that come from?

Honor killings? Show me an article.
