Abortion Backers: Pro-Lifers Are Racist, Aborting Black Babies OK

What does racism have to do with being pro-life? Well, for many pro-abortion fanatics, it has everything to do with it. To them, minorities having more children and less abortions is a bad thing and racist.

It’s not racist, however, to target them for abortions. Mention that an overwhelming majority of abortion clinics are in urban neighborhoods, or that black women get a disproportionately higher number of abortions, and you’re racist. Show documented examples of racism at Planned Parenthood, and you’re racist.

Say you want to abort black babies because they’re ugly and will grow up to be murderers, however, and there’s not a peep.

In short, anything that hampers abortion is racist. Minorities getting a disproportionate number of abortions, though, is awesome! Only the white people should be having lots of kids, right?

Putting this attitude on display is Brian Fung at The Atlantic, who derides abortion bans as racist, because they would mean that minority women would not be able to have as many abortions. His argument is literally that it is racist for there to be less abortions of minority children.

[W]hatever you make of those topline numbers, one thing seems certain: an abortion ban would disproportionately affect women from non-white and low-income backgrounds.

… Non-white and low-income women aren’t so lucky. For them, an abortion ban would mean either carrying their unplanned pregnancies to term — something the NBER paper predicts could happen to some degree, and which would likely be exacerbated by conservative attempts to limit contraception access at the same time that they crack down on abortion — or resorting to unsafe, illegal abortions.

Go ahead and try to make sense of this argument. Being pro-life, and hoping fewer minority women have abortions – thereby leading to more minority children – is racist. Cheerleading the disproportionate number of abortions that minority women get, and the abortion clinics helpfully planted in minority neighborhoods, however, is not racist. It’s progressive! It’s choice! Fewer minority babies is good for them! And minority women need abortions, because they clearly can’t handle having children under any circumstances, with an exception for those who are absolutely perfect.

Same thing for poor chicks, too. Only rich white women can have babies at any time. Any other type of woman needs to have abortion readily available, because if they get pregnant, they have to have an abortion. Ban abortions, and they’ll resort to the old rusty coat hanger, because clearly a minority woman, or one with a lower income, can’t handle a baby. She couldn’t comprehend the option of adoption, either, clearly, so abortions are absolutely necessary. They’re so necessary in these situations that clinics are helpfully making sure they sprout up right in those neighborhoods, ready and waiting to make sure that minority women can kill their babies as soon as they get pregnant.

To me, that entire argument reeks of racism. Pro-lifers welcome the thought of more minority children being born. Pro-aborts, however, run screaming from the thought. Now explain to me which side comprises the real racists.

The abortionists (like much of the modern left) are criminally insane.

Shouldn’t this beg the question, “why are minority women having a disproportionate number of abortions in the first place?”

Any white pro-life male is automatically a racist, sexist bigot (soon-to-be homophobe, once there’s a genetic test for that).

The black community has more unplanned pregnancies which leads to a higher abortion rate.

More prevention of unplanned pregnacies , more birth control and the abortion rate would plummet.

I have come to the inevitable conclusion that there are far worse things in the world than racism...but try telling that to a liberal racist.

“I have come to the inevitable conclusion that there are far worse things in the world than racism...but try telling that to a liberal racist.”

YES ! ! !

And, near the top of the list of unacceptable behaviors should be “Lousy Logic Syndrome”. Double the number of ‘bad behavior points’ when a NewsPerson does it.

In all the writing, not a mention of the fact that merely taking two drugs will induce abortion - no clinic needed.

As for forcing someone to carry, bear, and deliver a child they can’t afford and don’t want to or know how to raise is societal suicide.

Life IS an IQ test. Why are we trying to force those who can’t responsibly reproduce to produce offspring?

Abortion is an evil - no argument. However, as life is not a rose garden, we do have to make choices between bad and worse. A current example is “Should I support the Democrats or the Republicans?”

Romney is better than Obama, but still a person whom the Founders might well have called onto the field of honor for some of his positions. Obama, on the other hand, would have been hung for treason in short order by both the Founders and the citizenry.

Bad and worse.

Choices, choices.

Choose.

Bad key board! Bad, BAD keyboard!

Should have typed:
“As for forcing someone to carry, bear, and raise a child they can’t afford and don’t want to or know how to raise is societal suicide.”

My apologies for my key board’s behavior.

"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

- Margaret Sanger in her December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble

The left will run from this argument. If they want to pick at this scab they will show the pus filled abscess underneath.

Abortion is an instrument of racial genocide. Margaret Sanger, their hero, was a eugenicist, and wanted to purify the white race. She claimed that blacks were genetically inferior. Now we have white liberals carrying her banner into ghettos and destroying cohorts of black children - and then calling it freedom.

Tuskeegee was a picnic compared to this.

This madness comes from a godless people.

This is a descent into mindless paganism.

I heard an interview with Ruth Bader Ginsberg a while back and she actually stated that when Roe v Wade was decided, there was at the time a thought that certain “groups” should not procreate.

You know, you could interpret that statement of Sanger’s to mean, we don’t want the false notion to be spread about that we want to exterminate the Negro population.

English is such an ambiguous language.

As for forcing someone to carry, bear, and raise a child they can’t afford and don’t want to or know how to raise is societal suicide.

Utter garbage.

Societal suicide is the government paying, housing and feeding women who consistently have children out of wedlock.

Societal suicide is encouraging promiscuity along with all the free contraceptives one needs at the taxpayers' expense.

Societal suicide is promoting homosexuality and encoding it in our laws.

Societal suicide is easy access to marriage and even easier access divorce, where families are torn apart.

Societal suicide is found in secular, amoral societies like ours that state in the Constitution, "No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty save in accordance with law," yet despite never passing a law, Federal judges have trampled that amendment with a snap of their almighty fingers.

Outlawing abortion in cases where the mother's life is not in danger is NOT forcing anyone to do anything. If a man and woman create a baby through sex, the only "force" involved is the ultimate natural force: biology.

If I drink wine and get drunk, is there an outside governmental force making me get drunk? No...that is cause and effect. It's nature. Do I have a right to petition the government to make non-alcoholic wine so I can't get drunk; or provide me with an antidote so drinking wine has no physical affects? Nonsense. Government cannot regulate nature.

People have choices and reason. They can not have sex, they can sterilize themselves, they can use a multitude of birth control from hormonal to prophylactics to NFP. If humans fail to use their reason, they are not forced to do anything...biology simply takes it course.

Or are you one of those people that believes that biology is a burden and a false construct? That we humans should be freed from our biology? If you do not want to create a child, figure out how not to do so.

The government is not God; do not petition the government to override God's creation.

"... more birth control and the abortion rate would plummet."

I wonder if you have any numbers to back up that assertion? I'm sincerely looking for any kind of factual evidence, because it contradicts how things actually play out.

Case in point: Margaret Sanger opened the first birth control clinic in the U.S. in 1916 in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. At that time the abortion rate was about 17%, and the non-marital birthrate was 10%.

Now, Brooklyn is awash in contraceptives, there are dozens of places you can get them for free including schools and Public Health offices and clinics, and probably hundreds (drugstores, groceries) where you can get them cheap, as in 33 cents for a condom,$9 for a month/cycle of hormonal OC's; and the abortion rate is 41% and the out-of-wedlock birthrate has been between a few %age points of 50%, 62% and 75% (white, Hispanic, black) for over thirty years.

It's pretty well documented for 25 years that contraceptive ubiquity yields more non-marital births as a percent of the total (check it out (Link).

The more-reliable forms of long-term hormonal contraception --- implants, transdermals, injectables -- do result in a lower birthrate, but they almost always come with a huge increase in STI's. A matter of some concern since there's now cephalosporin-resistant gonorrhea out there in 27 states which is going to result in chronic disease, disability and deaths.

It's not working.

Really.

” Or are you one of those people that believes that biology is a burden and a false construct? That we humans should be freed from our biology? If you do not want to create a child, figure out how not to do so.

The government is not God; do not petition the government to override God’s creation.”

To begin, I did read your About Page and was impressed with your choice of words - well written, indeed. Largely, I agree with you. However, some of your post #17 I have some issues with. So, ....

” Or are you one of those people that believes that biology is a burden and a false construct?

I am a biologist, but any sentient being other than a Liberal knows that life is good, and in most cases, preferable to the alternative.

That we humans should be freed from our biology?

Has not happened, but the DNA folks are working on it Soon, we will have the option to control our genes and thus take control of our physical beings and that of our offspring. What a Happy Thought - no more Libtard collectivists! Oops, those things will also have free choice, as will real people. Hmmmn , .......

If you do not want to create a child, figure out how not to do so.

An amazing number of high IQ women seem unable to count sufficiently to successfully use the Pill. Trust me on this.

The government is not God; do not petition the government to override God’s creation.

Not really a relevant statement - I was suggesting the gooberment be kept out of this decision loop.

In closing, may I suggest that your well phrased “Societal suicide is the government paying, housing and feeding women who consistently have children out of wedlock.”, while accurate, be replaced with “Societal suicide is allowing government to subsidize industrial scale bastard farming.” I am not fond of euphemisms. “Bastards” is both technically and behaviorally more correct. The “Urban Feral” syndrome is perhaps apropos to this suggestion.

PS The pink cowboy boots in your daughter’s photo led me to suggest your looking up Oleg Volk’s poster of a little girl holding her pink teddy bear in one hand and an AR-15 with pink furniture in the other hand.
