Emails suggest Axelrod leaned on Gallup after unfavorable poll

Employees at the venerable Gallup polling firm suggested they felt threatened by Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod when he questioned the methodology of a mid-April poll showing Mitt Romney leading the president – according to internal emails published Thursday. That poll showed Romney leading Obama 48-43 percent. The exchange, according to emails published by The Daily Caller, started when Axelrod sent a tweet saying the tracking poll was “saddled with some methodological problems” and directing followers to a National Journal story in which a professor suggested outdated sampling. According to the email chain titled “Axelrod vs. Gallup,” the White House in addition asked that a Gallup staffer “come over and explain our methodology,” which was apparently perceived as a subtle threat. A Gallup official said in an email he thought Axelrod’s pressure “sounds a little like a Godfather situation.” “Imagine Axel[rod] with Brando’s voice: ‘I’d like you to come over and explain your methodology…You got a nice poll there … would be a shame if anything happened to it… .’” The exchanges also show that Gallup invited White House officials to its Washington offices, but it remains unclear whether any of the meetings occurred. However, when Gallup declined to change its polling methodology, the Obama administration’s Justice Department revived a 2009 whistle-blower lawsuit against the firm by joining the suit, a senior Gallup official alleges. The suit was filed by former Gallup employee Michael Lindley, who claims the firm violated the False Claims Act by overcharging the federal government for its services. Gallup declined to talk about the issue. Calls to the Justice Department, the White House and the Obama campaign have not been returned. Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs told The Washington Times this week that he was unaware of any communications between the campaign and Gallup.

Gallup has lost any credibility that they had left. They are now nothing more than a DNC campaign tool.

So....will we, or will we not, finally turn our backs on all MSM, including polling data, and simply get on with it?

So today Gallop releases a poll showing Obama up by 5 and Obama job approval 50 to 40 percent Romney LOL..its so obvious that Gallop was pressured by the Obama Administration to screw around with the numbers. THIS is what a Communist regime looks like people. You’d expect this type of gestapo tactics in North Korea, NOT in America, THIS is why Obama needs to be kicked out of office

There sure are lots of stories of warped polls out, which have been doctored to make it appear that Obama is more popular than he really is.

Then, if Obama loses this election, will the liberals claim voter fraud, due to all these pre-election polls showing Obama ahead????????

I’ve heard stories that liberals claimed the 2004 election was stolen. And their evidence was that exit polls early on election day showed a big Kerry victory developing.

But, then the liberals couldn’t believe the actual results when the actual votes were counted.

Leave it to liberals to cite exit polls as more accurate than actual votes cast by actual voters.

As far as I’m concerned, polls were designed to cause voters to “think a certain way” which is why Axelrod is litigating.

Most people in this country make their political decisions from 20 second sound bites given to them by the state controlled “media”. Sad but true.

Tonight I went to see “2016: Obama’s America”, and I came away even more scared about a 2nd Obama term. It is totally frightening in detail and facts. The biggest traitors to this country is the media, who have refused to vet this guy, and who would be the very first to fall in a dictatorship. They have sold their souls to the devil. May they be damned!!!!

In the video, you see Valerie Jarrett sitting in the background as Axelrod is talking to Obama.

LOL! This is like the pilot who doesn’t like what the altimeter is telling him, so he tears it out of his airplane.

As he is crashing.

They are finally showing the film in my area(Not super close to my area but close enough) a big part of me wants to see the film, but another part of me is scared to, because I already know what Obama’s America is going to look like if he wins, dont need a film to see what it will look like..but if I do see the movie it might frighten me even more.
When you went to see it today was your theater packed? Hopefully the undecided voters will see this film and see their future if Obama wins

Can you imagine if a Republican was president and they pulled this crap with Gallup? The news media would have wall-to-wall coverage around the clock, demanding impeachment hearings. Now, all we hear is crickets.

I can’t wait to hear what Rush has to say about this on Monday.

As for the 2016 documentary, I wish the Romney team would buy the television rights to this documentary. Air it on all the major networks in mid-October, and then again in early November a few days before the election. It would cost a boatload of money, but it would be money well spent.

So who’s going to be transporting all those ballot boxes from the polling places to the counting facilities on November 6? Usually it’s law enforcement, but given the nature of Barry & Co., I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t the Black Panthers this year. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I expect hundreds of ballot boxes to take little detours on election day and show up at counting facilities nicely stuffed with votes for Zero. We must not put it past them. These gangsters are fully capable of it... willing, ready and able.

"Others have noted that the DOJ action occurred after Gallup had Mitt Romney ahead of Obama in its polling for a few days. But as we've pointed out, it's not Gallup's horse race numbers that have the Chicago gang concerned. This far out from the election, Likely Voter numbers are about as convincing as David Axelrod's combover. What Axelrod and his co-conspirators are really worried about are Gallup's jobless numbers."
