When They Come For Your Guns, You Will Turn Them Over
Whiskey & Gunpowder ^ | Aug 1st, 2012 | Jim Karger

Posted on 09/08/2012 7:57:38 PM PDT by bopdowah

“When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands,” is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat that the US government is going to take their firearms.

And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?”

Nope. Can you imagine “anyone” attempting to “disarm” the State of Texas?

The very idea is silly.

And I know how law enforcement and the military feel about this. Won’t happen.

I can just imagine a SWAT team going head to head with a feral hog hunting group. They hunt hogs from aircraft, they use chain guns, multiple auto loading 10 gauge shotguns, they have the latest in thermal imaging gear and they know danger up close.

Good luck Mr. Federales. You’r gonna have a lot of crying mothers I expect. More than likely a lot of ARMED crying angry mothers.

I pray to God you are right. However I was at the barber shop the other day.......and one guy in there was a police officer and said. “If things go down......your weapons will be confiscated.....no questions asked.” The hair on the back of my neck stood up and I didn’t say a WORD.....as i was overhearing a conversation between him and the barber.

Haaahh nothing that dramatic.

But, yes I know some of the pilots who hunt hogs. And some of their support people.

What good are SWAT teams in open country?

In a city, yes. In the woods/sticks, worthless.

And what would the point be?

Good TV, bad real life.

I would rather be face down in the street in a pool of my own blood, than face down in the street with my ass greased for the jackbooted Gummint thugs. And my blood-soaked body will rest on top of a big pile of theirs, believe me.

Far, far better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

Not to mention, this whole discussion is rhetorical, as the imbeciles in D.C., as stupid as they can be at their worst, would never attempt it. They'd be chewed to shreds, and no force on Earth could save them. Any group of "leaders" who ever concocted and actually sent the ball up on this one would be done-for, finished, spent, played, over, finitio, kaput.

I think the technical term would be "Suicide by Patriot."

I’m beginning to see this is the case. They are educated by a socialist education system to begin with. Then corrupted, further, in the military (that it has turned out to be).

No more God, country, family.

That is being beaten out of them. Incrementally. Just like Fabian Socialists do. EVERYTHING is about incrementalism. Little by little.

There aren’t enough “agents” to roll down the street all at once, so there will be plenty of advanced notice.

Additionally, none of my collection is “registered”.

With just a little bit of notice, I can become very difficult to locate.

If you don’t think there are enough folks in a similar situation to make a difference, you’re mistaken.

You are not going to take on a platoon of Marines with state of the art automatic weapons and the best body armor you cannot buy protected by armed personnel carriers and attack helicopters unless you choose to die that day — for nothing.

(1) Marines also have families and if they agree to this they must know another Marine platoon is simultaneously killing his father and his brothers, who are ex military and will not give up their guns.

(2) If you die defending freedom you are not dying for nothing. And you may not want to wait until they come to your door if you want to take a toll on the enemy. Besides, there will be plenty of targets besides the Marines if it ever comes down to this.

What will be their basis for confiscation?

BATFE Form 4473? That registers only the point of initial sale from an FFL holder to an individual who has received an NCIS check.

It’s really a bigger task than the gungrabbers can conceive of.

I can just see this scenario, after a day of gun confiscation they return to the station, which has just been commandeered by a militia that then in returns tkes away those confiscated weapons.

Or the warehouse is attacked by gangs, drug lords or even pissed off people.

I bet the replica weapons industry will be booming, a fully detailed but non functioning wepon gets confiscated, so what they gonna do, throw you in jail for giving them a plastic or wood M16?

I would gladly spearhead a nationwide project on how to cheaply make a museum grade non working replica.

Its basically the square peg in a round hole scenario, they can talk about it till the sun turns blue, but it just ain;t gonna happen. I predict that should it occur no less than 100 million people will resist, are they prepared to shoot 100 million Americans? Or put them in prison, or garnish their wages, tax refunds, SS or anything else?

Just won’t happen, not small scale or large scale. They would have better luck using lopping shears to emasculate all males (cutting the you know whats).

No. And millions more won't, either.

Just because this lawyer is peeing his panties in fear of the feds, don't mean the rest of us are.

Any potential confiscation attempt will be over and done with LONG before they sweep door-to-door. Those people have to go home sometime, and when they do, end of story. A few like that and suddenly, there will be a shortage of labor to execute the confiscation.

Authoritarians can only use the police and military to crush dissent when they know the secret: they will not attack their own, but will attack some other minority.

Then ask yourself, if you had a company of US Marines, what Americans would they willingly attack? New Englanders? Floridians? Texans? Californians? Which of these people are so different from where the Marines came from that they would not be seen as fellow Americans?

Otherwise, what happens when their company commander is replaced by a political appointee, who puts on the Marine uniform, declares himself their new commander, and orders them to fire on unarmed citizens?

He will likely find his command to be short-lived, punctuated with his pitiful screams that they must “Obey me! Obey me! Do what I order you to do!”

DING! Winnner!!! Always have one "throw-away" registered gun so when they come to take away your arms, they can only take what they KNOW about.

Not sure if other states register guns, Illinois does. I have two (that they know about.) They can have 'em, without a fight. The rest that I purchased out of state and brought home with me are the ones I'm interested in keeping.

The number of firearms and ammo in private hands in this country is simultaneously unknown and incalculable. Some of it is on the books, but the vast bulk of it isn’t. Anyone who thinks disarming the civilian populace will be a casualty free walk-in-the-park is crazy as a loon. Fortunately, I think most police/military are smart enought not to execute such an order. Some may go through the motions, but that’s about it.

The sad fact is, the Founders would be absolutely shocked at what's considered sufferable nowadays. Functionally, the drug-seizure laws are a reincarnation of the Vice-Admiralty courts. Taxes are much higher than the rates in the darkest days before the Revolution. The government regularly inderdicts travellers by road or by air.

Sure, they'd be amazed at how wealthy and technologically advanced American are and I'm sure they'd welcome some developments like granting citizenship to blacks. But the overall picture would drive them somewhere between outrage and despair.

<><>How many deer hunting licenses were sold in the US last year?<><>

In just Ga alone, more than 500,000 deer hunters are expected in the field opening day. All armed, most with high powered rifles, and many with off road vehicles.

How many law enforcement folks spent more than 5 years searching for Eric Rudolf? Just several hundred like him intent on disrupting normal LEO activities would tie up an enormous amount of resources.

If things get to that stage, learn from what happened in Germany under the Third Reich.

Once disarmed, one IS helpless and defenseless.

Before that stage is reached, realize that to a collectivist government ALL citizens are like Jews in Germany.

Therefore, if you are going to be jailed/killed, have a plan for who you will kill before they kill you. DO NOT DIE LIKE A JEW IN GERMANY.

There are things worse than death, as Churchill’s famous words he used to rally the English so clearly state:
“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

Remember the last sentence.

Then, get involved in politics, lest you be ruled by your inferiors - something the Romans knew.

One other observation. Make sure you can do head shots, because that lawyer is correct about the armor on the collectivist gun toter attacking you. Lot of range time, or get what may be a good substitute: Laserlyte Pistol Trainer - & only $80.

Use the laserlyte to practice point & shoot uintil your reflexes are such that when you squeeze the trigger, the dot appears where you want. Try it, this is the best training device since the private range, unlimited ammo and time and income to support all the preceeding.

PS I am an NRA instructor, and this laser is well recommended by instructors.

PPS I am not getting paid for the above. Good data for you, even if it is free.

;-)

The attorney seems to put mere survival above being a citizen of the Republic. Mere survival is not enough for Americans.

last year I think it was found somewhere in the south, Georgia or some place like that out in the woods a setup of four Benelli autoloading 12 gauge shotguns that was fully remotely operable through the internet, they had the connection, the camera and was just waiting for some wild pigs. And a DIY chaingun isn’t hard for someone with machine shop skills, I know of quite a few plans from even one made for .22LR cartridges.

My comment on the article, posted over there:

Many of us are very sophisticated, Mr. Karger. For example, we know that the Internet is the new airspace. He who commands the airspace wins the war (c.f. Egypt “Arab Spring”). Some of us are actually skilled computer professionals who design security solutions for a living. And when one designs a security solution, one must learn how a hacker defeats a security solution.

But enough about the electronic airspace.

Let’s talk about morale on the part of the confiscators. They live in America and have homes and families. Wouldn’t morale suffer if they are asked to fire on fellow citizens? Wouldn’t things be tough on them too?

You presume a Hobson’s Choice. There are so many options beyond the two you (falsely) offer us.

Cheers!
