In his new book, The Price of Politics, Bob Woodward writes that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi sometimes hit the mute button when President Barack Obama would start giving “uplifting speeches” during conference calls. Pelosi denied the claim, saying that, during those calls, she always cleared the room, listened and took notes.
Woodward said that during Obama’s impromptu speeches, “Pelosi put Obama on mute so that she and [Harry] Reid could work without Obama knowing they had stopped listening.”

I do this sometimes when someone in a conference call I’m on starts to get going on a long speech that I’ve heard before.
Yep. Putting him on mute allowed her, Reid, and whoever else was there to carry on with whatever conversation they were having before without Obama knowing that they weren’t paying attention to him anymore.

No, the story is dead on: ObamaCare is really Pelosi-Reid Care. Obama had little to do with it, beyond speechifying.
Nonetheless, he's the President, everyone knows it's ObamaCare, not CongressCare, and he now must be held responsible for all the mistakes the congresscritters and their helpers made drafting those 2700-odd pages Scalia refused to read.
Ultimately, the fact that Obama is blameless for ObamaCare is all the more reason to get rid of him!
If you’re using a speakerphone in a conference call, it’s good form to press “mute”, when you’re not talking. Otherwise, a lot of background noise can accumulate, from the various participants in the call. I always used the mute button as a courtesy to all the other participants — and, yes, sometimes I’d be having side conversations with other people in my room. This just doesn’t seem to be much of an issue.
It isn’t much of an issue except that it involves Pelousy muting the 0 during a conference call. If the situation happened to Republicans, it would be front page news for weeks and the liberal media would make the Republicans look foolish. (Not hard to do for the liberal media.) Here in this forum, we are not the liberal media; but we do like to exercise our rights, express our opinions, and poke fun back at politicians who get away with lying by being protected by the liberal media.
So if you really didn’t say it, sue him. Bet he has the tape.
