Obama to Iowans: ‘You’ll love me even more’ when I talk about tax increases
Washington Examiner ^ | September 8, 2012 | Joel Gehrke

President Obama, ever-comfortable on the campaign trail, responded to audience cheers saying they would “love him even more” when he finished reciting his plans for his second term.

An exuberant Iowa crowd kept interrupting Obama today. ” I love you back,” he said at one point, as he went through a list of goals for his second term.  “But let me tell you the fourth thing — you’ll love me even more.”

‘The fourth thing” he mentioned was  his “plan [to] reduce our deficit without sticking it to the middle class.” Obama said that he will “cut deficits by $4 trillion” and “reform our tax code so that it’s simple and fair, and so that we ask the wealthiest households in America to pay higher incomes [sic] — or higher taxes on incomes over $250,000.”

Yeah, let's raise taxes on job creators at a time when 88 Million people of working age are not in the labor force...

Who does he think he is? Kim Jong Un?

I don’t want a leader to love.

I want a COMPETENT leader who doesn’t have a god complex!

Everybody loves to raise taxes on somebody else. Few people are willing to pay more taxes themselves so that others may benefit.

"I want a COMPETENT leader who doesn’t have a god complex!"

Most Americans would agree with you. The sad thing is, Romney's allowing Obama to run all over him with the tax issue because he doesn't know how to properly attack a demagogue...

Am I living in an alternate universe?

When have you ever heard a politician admit he wants to raise taxes on the campaign trial and actually still be in the race?

He wants to raise taxes on the ruch so he can give it to the rich people of HIS choice. He has to appease his donors.

Remember Mondale? He used to be someone!

Exactly!

We're going to have numerous tax increases from Obamacare kicking in January, 2013, PLUS income tax increases on everybody if Obama doesn't get his precious tax hike on job creators (aka the "wealthy"). And yet, we hear almost nothing from Romney about this...

...And people scratch their heads and wonder why the race is so close.

You are living in a country where there are 88+million who have dropped out of the job market because they have given up, almost 48million on food stamps, then there are the welfare millions, the “free phone and minutes” millions, the Medicaid millions and most of them have an envious streak that says, “It isn’t fair that THEY have money.”

Face it, we are outnumbered.

Taking from those who bust their chops and giving to those who don’t produce resonates.

IMHO this is why we don't stand a chance on Nov 6.

Democracy Countdown, How Long Do We Have?

excerpt....
"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government." "A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury."

"From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

You're overstating things. There are A LOT of people out there- folks in their fifties who are losing everything and they are terrified for their future- terrified that they may never work another day, or at least be employed in a dignified job. They don't want this- they want to work.

When did they say it after decades of telling the “non-rich” (whatever that means) that the “rich” (again, whatever that means) don’t pay their fair share, play the “high taxes are the answer to our problems” over and over again, and pushing the idea that money, healthcare and other man-made things are rights?

The time for Atlas to shrug is growing closer. If dear leader gets re-elected, I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if he doesn’t become Wesley Mouch and Head of State Thompson in one.

Where is all the money? The money is in the middle class. That
is where Obama and the other ‘Rats ultimately want to go with
their tax scam. They can’t make it only on what they squeeze
out of the wealthy but they won’t tell their sheeple that in a
campaign for obvious reasons. Romney and Ryan should have
their asses kicked until they start vocalizing this factoid on
the stump.

What a bunch of rookies at the Wash Exam. Don’t tell you where in Iowa or composition of crowd.

Other Iowa sources reveal:

:: Speech at Univ of Iowa, Iowa City
:: Crowd of about 8,000
:: Joining Barry on the platform, wife, Joe and Jill
:: Some TV actors

Think about that for a second. He’s back in Iowa immediately after the Dem Convention Love Fest with running mate and wives and only draws 8,000. And they shout out their “love”. Well sure, why not, they’re not producers, they’re debtors.

Barry’s line of raising taxes on incomes of $250,000 echoes Walter
F. Mondale’s campaign promise running against Reagan. Blowed up real good.
