Obama's 'Gone to Great Lengths' to Keep Gas Prices High, Ryan Says

SAN RAMON, Calif. - Paul Ryan said today the president has gone to "great lengths" to make gas more expensive in this country.

The vice presidential candidate visited Google headquarters in Montainview to hold a Google+ Hangout where he took questions from supporters at campaign offices all over the country, including a question from a senior citizen in Florida named Ruth. She asked him how he was going to "improve the situation" of sky high gas prices.

"This is not just something that squeezes family budgets, it squeezes businesses," Ryan answered. "It also gives us a bad foreign policy in that we are so dependent on other countries for our oil imports, it's the biggest part of our trade deficit and so what's frustrating about the Obama administration's policies are they've gone to great lengths to make oil and gas more expensive."

The average national gas price is $3.82 up from $3.66 just a month ago, according to statistics from the American Automobile Association.

The reporter works hard to spin in Obama's favor. But facts are facts. Hopefully this is a new attack front.

"The average national gas price is $3.82 up from $3.66 just a month ago,"

Here on Long Island, my "cheapest" gas is now $4.15.

If I want it cheaper, I'd have to burn the gas to get me there to get it "cheaper".

FUBO!

HusseinCo and PelosiCo states IL and CA have the highest gas taxes PER PRICE (as opposed to per gallon) in the country.

It’s in their best interests to keep gas prices as high as possible.

Didn’t the National Hoax say that energy prices would necessarily skyrocket???

Don’t be so harsh on our Obama, leader of the world.

HE is just trying to put as much cash into his saudi brethren’s pockets before their oil runs out. The jihad has to be funded somehow; might as well make the most developed people pay for it!

That is our thoughtful leader at work, doing what we need the most! Focused like a laser.

The gas prices are reflecting the dropping value of the dollar. Obama is keeping the price of every thing up.

It's all about our dependency/relationship with OPEC. I found that unemployment in Saudi Arabia is at 50% and need to get mol $USD94bl to keep the state services in tact or risk revolution throw Royal Family out of power. If do not get their price will "pinch back". TBoonePickens Inteview

Just use sticky notes. I did that a lot before and I’ll probably start it up again.

I have heard that the US properties have enough oil and natural gas to last us over 300 years even accounting for normal growth...If this is true, why don’t we drill, baby, drill??? Quit supporting the hating ME countries and use OUR OWN oil...Man has gone from a horse and buggy to walking on the moon in 100 years....Surely before 300 years are up, we can find another energy source...nuclear???

OOOOOoooo,,,,I like! Thanks for the idea.

After it was elected in 2008, I used to visit the book section in Target and put sticky notes in all the obama slobber books for the reader to find in later pages.

I am praying that Obama and his bands of thugs and henchmen are obliterated in November. I despise all that the man does and stands for.

But honestly, what can a sitting president--or a man who is not much of a president--do directly about gasoline prices?

I ask this question in various forums and venues, and I can't get an answer from some conservatives and Republicans who I think are pretty smart.

I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:

"Somehow we have to figure
out how to boost the price of
gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal]
levels in Europe." - Barack Obama's
Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???

I've sized mine to fit twelve to a sheet of bumper sticker stock...

I’ve been thinking it would be great if stickers were put on gas pumps all over the country stating the price of gas when O took office and the price today. I think that would reach uniformed people how it affects their pocketbooks.

I guess you want to make sure your vandalism of private property is hard to remove.
